Start with obvious….Hart looks brutal…not confident at all….I would leave him in there, but wouldn’t be surprised if he is yanked. Pk picking up where it left off last year….but they are still in this. Kill a farking penalty to start the 3rd and build from there….long season.

He’s got to come up with a save, and the fourth one is just pathetic
- ClaudeFather

And again, the first goal was a nice shot. But NHL goalies make that save. It’s an unscreened wrist shot upstairs. He got exposed a bit two years ago, was totally buried by that shot last year, and it looks like he still may not have adjusted yet.

He needs to go down.

Hart needs to be better but these penalties are killing our momentum as well
- SuperSchennBros

Penalties will happen. Having every pk become an all out shooting gallery against a weak team shouldn’t

The pk is abysmal
- Just5

that's where it starts ...got to do a better job clearing the crease, and Hart has got to make some stops and control that puck. Its not just Hart, but I hate the way goalies play today, specifically the technique they use to cover the sides of the net. I still the hybrid technique Broduer, Roy and others used was the best for goalies the size of Hart. Full out butterfly works for huge goalies like Vasey because they cover more of the top of the net even though they are on their knees just because of their size.

The first goal is not an issue. It was a quality shot by a talented player. It's the goal off of the end boards and the bad angle shot that are the issue. It should be a 2-2 game if they got quality goaltending.

LOL. You do realize that Hart is not waiver exempt?
- MJL

I did not realize that. But I almost don’t care at this point.

On that first goal Yandle got caught on the wrong side and then got picked by the Vancouver forward, allowing the shooter to walk in. Still Hart drops to his knees too early and leaves the top shelf open.

These first two periods are mirror images of the exact same team as last year.
Nothing has changed.

- Buzzo

The Flyers got older, more expensive, longer contracts, and have fewer assets to trade.

Like them or not, win or lose, this is pretty much the same team the Flyers are stuck with for the next 3-5 years unless they don't sign Risto and if they do they will need to find more money for him as he's not staying in Philly for the 5.4 mill he's making this year.

Yes, Yandle played it poorly. Yandle is very good with the puck but be prepared for weak defense from him all season long.
