Are you saying they don't have enough talent to win on talent alone? - Hank Balling
I'm saying if they are that team, there are going to be a lot of guys that are going to earn some hefty raises.

this team's shown more synergy in one period than they have throughout Ralph's entire (frank)ing tenure. |

Tall timber tage looked like an nhl hockey player.
His shot on the power play (zhitnik style of the glass) made a very unique sound. He can really shoot the puck.
Looks like he's gonna be set up on the left circle pp1 with olofsson on the right.
Couple rockets last night.... - Boss34
His shot has always been his strength. There isn't much to complain about after a game like last nights.
I have a group chat with two of my best friends from high school. The question posted was how many minutes of actual game play of Sabres hockey would we watch all year. I said 500. I watched all 60 last night. If this team can play like the hardest working team in hockey again, with more speed I will continue to watch.
Teams tend to take the identity of their leaders, Okposo, Girgensons and Donnie are this teams leaders. They could do much worse.

poh yeah. He's almost doubled that 50 points in his entire career!

they did a lot of this last year with Donnie. Taking out the positive Reinhart and the negative Ristolainen and walking away with a 500 W-L record (OT not included) for the first month of the season should not be a ridiculous expectation - TheSabresTaco
adrenaline might have been the key last night...how long they can live off of that is another story...confidence will be the key moving forward and one thing about meatballs is he recognized that last season and is looking to build confidence amongst his players regardless of the final score |

They have a pretty "easy" schedule minus Tampa and Boston.
They shouldn't be eliminated from the playoffs at the end of the month

After watching the Sabres be a 'if Jack doesn't score, no one will' team for years on end, it'll be nice if the entire team can contribute a little each night.

Outside of them taking two weak penalties, I thought they were absolutely fine.
Dahlin was very, very solid in both ends - sbroads24
The penalty taken by Dahlin on the pick play by Montreal was a joke, as Hank said.
Dahlin's pace of play last night was noticeably quicker, which is very nice to see. |

I'm curious, :
You're clearly a huge Sabres supporter. Does it hurt too much to watch the games? I understand family and time constraints, but it's a new refreshing team.
I guess that it helps that I like both captains and 71sniper.☝️

It’s evident that Dahlin’s defensive game may never be elite.
Erik Karlsson never played much defence either though.
Find Dahlin a Marc Methot type and let him go buck wild and live with the defensive mishaps if it means elite offence the other way |

Samuelsson may fit the bill here.

The defence is going to be a nice problem to have in a year or 2 when we’ve got Power, Samuelson etc coming up.
Hopefully his perfect partner is already in the system…
Peace be with you friend. |
