I didn't like it because it kinda sealed the Habs fate.

But I wasn't shocked it happened after seeing the ref basically apologize for missing Gallagher pushing Campbell.

Except Anderson flew in there with intent to punch somebody. He deserved the penalty.

Anderson's complaint was that he was the only one pulled in a scrum that the Leafs started.

As Cush stated, the penalty itself was fine, the fact he was the only one sent there was a make up call for Gallagher's missed interference.

It's a classic refs move.

I agree the non-call on the Leafs was a possible make up call, but the motivation for the requiement to "make up a call" is questionable to say the least. To be fair though, Anderson is no angel and he thoroughly earns every penalty he gets, and still escapes punishment more than most.

You don't move a superstar C and the most dominant goal-scorer in the league even if you have a 2C who can also score some goals.

Not sure where you get the idea that the Leafs would have to retain any salary if trading Marner. That would be absolutely bonkers.
