Good call on JT's contract expiring before McJesus's.

But I still think if the Leafs re-sign AM34 there's not enough bank left to back the Brinks truck up to for Connor.

McAvoy is 100% worth every one of those pennies. He’s going to have a Norris caliber season this year. Mark it down.

If you don’t like what spatso is posting you’re allowed to disagree and comment back accordingly.

If you start mouthing off a poster who is simply talking about hockey with an unpopular opinion you will be banned.

.HOHO. so far, would anyone like to be next?

- Dozzer

I very much appreciate your comment but I would not want for anyone to be banned.

I am a former Leaf fan and sometimes miss the passion of the faithful.

It does not bother me when people challenge my hockey opinions or even my intellect. If you find my commentary disrespectful, I will be more than happy to tone it down or alter it to conform with the tone of the dialogue.

Love McAvoy as a player. Fully understand why the Bruins wanted to invest in him long term.

I hope he fails miserably and the Bruins never win a hockey game again.

Respectully, of course.

No team has ever started a season at 1-2 and made the playoffs, since the NHL went to 32 teams.

Saturday's game is huge.

He was 5th in Norris voting last year and didn’t man the top PP during the regular season. Check out his post season numbers when he did man that unit. He’s worth it. I would’ve been fine even if it was in 8 figures.

There will be plenty left. Matthews new contract isnt going to take up 11M extra in cap.

Seriously though, he is very good. Its possible, but I still think that 9.5M is an overpayment for a dman.

I can't wait for Subban and Stamkos to fulfill their lifelong dreams of finishing bloated contracts playing for the Blue and White, once they can no longer contribute.

I'm not saying he's not worth it (maybe $$$ a shade too high?), I'm just saying he won't win the Norris.

He's certainly twice the d-man Rielly is.
