I hate Mitchell Marner. I just hate him.

Hes played without Matthews before and was fine.
Hes put up two 90+pt seasons (on pace) since signing so not really "robbed" the leafs. But he was able to walk all over dubas in contract negotiations.

the game was a dissapointment, was hoping to see some 11mil players step up

but more about doing something normal'ish again... hanging with friends, dinner, drinks.. was a lot of fun.

Expectations are bonkers, for sure.

I'm hoping when AM34 returns we'll start to see the team start to find their form. It just really sucks seeing the team so lackadaisical to being the first two games of the year.

Period 3 last night was the first glimpse into the potential this team has to dominate. More of that, please!

I think my reply was hockey based and likely unpopular with Spatso but by no means personal against him (just his unpopular opinion). If you see it differently please let me know , my intent was to simply provide him with an "alternative view" of how last night's game went down and how I viewed the Ottawa Senators. He routinely provides his opinion of the Leafs in here so I replied in kind. If I need to edit my reply I can/will, I have no desire to start or fuel a fire here.

I was tempted to go to the Sens thread and share my opinion but decided that would be unwelcomed there and just upset Sens fans so I would not. I wish others who come in here to share their opinions of the Leafs would have the same level of consideration.

All these large contracts for dmen seems over the top. I cant imagine this ending well for those teams. He is very good though.
