And now who is mocking other peoples opinions?

Calling a top 5 point producer in the league useless is stupidity

And I’ll (frank)ing happily defend that.

I thought Marner was good last night but all he did on that goal was pass the puck back to Rielly and then get off the ice.
- Canada Cup

So he made the right decision.

That’s a good thing. End of story.

Well you think I’m an “idiot” because I believe bringing in another top tier C at the cost of the team’s best winger is a mistake
- Dozzer

Really, thats what I said? I said anybody that thinks they won't want McDavid is an idiot.
I'm sorry if you believe that was singled out to you but honestly it wasn't.

He has clearly decided he's going to shoot more this year.

When Gretzky made that decision, he scored 92 goals that year.

Yes, I just went there.

Deal with it.

Engvall Bunting and Dermott were the best 3 Leafs last night, in my opinion 🤷

If you want McDavid get rid of Matthews and keep the high end winger.

The team doesn’t need two top line centers, I’m not even a huge fan of them having both Tavares and Matthews to be perfectly honest. Rather they spent some money on D, because Rielly will be looking for 9 million next year so they’ll have to let him go because they’re far too heavy in the C position.

It’s still a point.

Therefore he’s currently on the run for a 82 point season

But he sucks and the leafs should get rid of him right?

He doesn't suck. He's just way overpaid for a playmaking winger who hasn't won anything or been a dominating force when it matters most.

But secondary assists when you're sitting on the bench are kinda cool too. I guess. 🤷

I agree, you don't lose the top line wingers if your plan is bringing in one of the best centers in the league.

If Matthews leaves like you say, the spot is open for the Leafs to go after McD.

If Matthews stays, then JT would have to be the victim, just not sure how PC that would be for Leafs management.

But IMHO, that's still a very long way away. This team could get a really big shake up next summer if they lose again.

Sounds very Leafy.

I'm done with the Leafs if they don't win a playoff round.

Next season comes around, rinse and repeat...

If they lose again move Matthews, let Tavares be the top line C, replace Rielly with a truly top end D (without Matthews they could afford it), and they’d still have the space to sign a good and solid second line C

That would balance things out better IMO.

Then when McDavid is available sign him, move the older JT down to the second line for a couple of years while he’s still capable

I don't see any sane scenario where you trade Auston Matthews.
