3rd goalie slim pickins

The canucks had the puck the whole OT, great 3rd period except for thr call on OEL lol, then the non call on Petey in OT, the ref tried hard to make a good home opener for the flyers.

OEL Is way better than elder, 3 out of 4 points so far on the trip with some winnable games left, keep working on getting better to play a 60 minute game, the talent is there.

Finally got to see all the highlights and the replay of the game... man, we really need to do something about our scrambly play in the zone, especially in the third period. Sure, there were a few questionable calls made on us, but that's no excuse to completely break down in our defensive zone coverage when teams apply not even a ton of pressure. It's almost like if the team doesn't have the puck, they panic and don't know where to go, who to take and what to do. That's on TG and Shaw, this has been an ongoing problem since TG got here and even with supposedly better personnel it still hasn't been fixed.

Ya, their D system/non-system is typically suspect. I expect it to get better as the season goes on, as they normally do (especially with 4 of 6 defenders being new), but it's still not good regardless. It's been a hallmark of TG. Thankfully the offense is doing well right now, but need to tighten poop up back there.

Expect a big game from Podkolzin then today

I ran a skunk over 2 nights ago. I could have swerved and missed him but there was something about those black and white stripes that had me line him up instead.

My truck stinks bad now. Much like the officiating in this game.

Overall not a bad game some tenacity and good saves by Demko early on. Hard to take Hirsch as the color guy bit of a clown. Take the two points but the blown lead sucks. Should have been able to close that game out even with the bad call but no shock on the reffing. OEL and Garland looked pretty good. Bo was playing Hungry it looked. Burroughs and Rathbone still need time to break in. Myers a bit of dumpster fire lol in the D zone a few times. Hughes looked solid enough. Demko was the key early on with big saves.
