If he could evolve himself into a strong defensive player I could see him being a real valuable kinda guy. He's got 30 goal potential for sure, I just haven't loved the overall trajectory of his development to date.
I have no tangible evidence, but I also have a gut feeling he's got some minor off-ice-kinda issues as well. - eichiefs9

Maybe just a change of scenery too. I know that gets thrown around a lot and usually isn't the case, but I think sometimes its true for teams that draft certain players. |

It definitely is the case sometimes. Isles are honestly a tough roster to crack lately, too. Wahlstrom had the benefit of playing the right side where they were a little thinner, but Bellows isn't currently better than Parise. I'm far from a Komarov fan, but he was a useful-ish 3rd line LW that could play defense and irritate other teams.
I'd prefer they move him rather than inevitably lose him on waivers for free. The only other option is to let him rot in the press box all year and probably only get a handful of games when guys are hurt. Not great for his development, especially given that he's only played 74 total games between the NHL/AHL over the last two seasons. |

He did make some really nice blind backhand first passes to the Capitals.

I remember this well from the pre Lou and Barry days and Islander defensemen being stuck behind the other teams net. |

I said it last night, it was Blais and Fox against the Caps. Can't have all of your star players be invisible
Shots on goal total for Panarin, Zib, Strome, and Kreider: 2
Shots on goal total for Reaves and Hunt: 2
Top group had over 16min of PP time combined. Bottom 2 only played 20min total.
Zib played 20 minutes and has nothing on the scoresheet to show for it other than faceoffs |

Again people can harp on the bottom 6 but they did their job. The top 6 sucked |

Why did Gallant start Georgiev in the first place? I forgot about that. |

Only guess is back to backs and he wanted Igor to start the home opener. But it makes no sense, they just paid Igor big money. Let him ride |

I guess starting goalies' legs fall off if they play back to back games.. just like starting
pitcher's arms fall off after pitching 100 pitches ?
How these players are pampered is ridiculous |

NYR didn't keep the proper tabs on Lias. Seemed like he was left like a babe in the woods in NYC. He will become a legit 3/4 C IMO. Getting Cuylle makes losing him a non issue.
Kravs situation is a bit different. Wahlstrom was sitting there for the taking and NYR passed on him. That pisses me off - rrentz
Among my circle of friends the 2010 NHL Draft lives in infamy because I was going crazy for Tarasenko and was convinced we were gonna get him. The soul dropping out of my body was apparently visible to my friends when Dylan McIlrath’s name was called. |
