Avalanche have found a place for J.J. I guess he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be...AND Jack scored a goal

I mean we ruined our relationship with Kravstov to protect Hajek, so yea maybe give him a shot
- TPC

Kravstov is to blame. He apparently doesn't work hard off the ice, needs to improve his stamina, and turns over puck at times to avoid hits. ....Hajek situation wouldn't have had any impact on keeping Kravs on the team if his play and work ethic werent' an issue

One good game does not turn JJ into Leetch.

Something tells me that Blais doesn’t have a chance with the fans because he was dealt for the beloved Buchnevich.

Very fair way to look at it

- Slimtj100

I never mentioned Buchnevich, that ship for the most has sailed. My view is well known and I felt he earned a roster spot this preseason.

My mistake on not noting the offsetting, thanks for providing that data.

Blais should remain in the lineup, which is what I wrote. He wasn't why they lost and was one of the few who I thought had a good game overall.

Rangers are to blame to. He already quit on the team before. They should have traded him before all of this played out in the public.

Once he was drafted it was already too late. Obviously, the scouts missed the fact that he is an entitled little pansy....so in that respect, yes, it is the NYRs fault. Besides that, telling a kid to put in the work and he will be called up shortly , shouldn't be an issue.

Guess there was no connection of Kravs with Panarin or Shesty. Would think those guys would have talked to him.

Always thought even being injured why it was weird they didn't bring him along to the team bonding trip in preseason. All makes sense now

NYR didn't keep the proper tabs on Lias. Seemed like he was left like a babe in the woods in NYC. He will become a legit 3/4 C IMO. Getting Cuylle makes losing him a non issue.

Kravs situation is a bit different. Wahlstrom was sitting there for the taking and NYR passed on him. That pisses me off

Both Middlestadt and Whalstrom should by NYRs....Got give a slight pass on Middlestadt..seeing he couldn't do one pull up

Was he walking around the city dressed like Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy?

I know it'll never happen, but it's not the worst swap I can think of

Bellows could play now and, assuming he wasn't full of poop, Kravstov would play out the season in Bridgeport and possibly step into the lineup next year.

I would have no issue with it. I think the Kravtsov ship has sailed here. I will take any decent player who can play right away.

So whats the deal with him? I mean he plays a pretty hard game and has some decent hands. Why the Isles dont have him in the lineup?

At least the Rangers didn't trade a 1st and a 2nd for Seth Jones then pay him $9 million per year. Dude's a train wreck.
- BINGO!

him falling down taking that wrist shot was something i've only seen in beer league games.

Don't get the feeling he's got the kind of attention to detail away from the play that Trotz wants to see from him. He can wire the puck and does a decent job throwing his body around and providing some energy, but that's about it. Not the world's strongest skater, either.

Trying to be objective...I see him as one of those 3rd line guys that puts up stats like 20-15-35pts a year. Maybe marginally better, but I don't see him ever being a high-end offensive player or a strong defender.

If he could evolve himself into a strong defensive player I could see him being a real valuable kinda guy. He's got 30 goal potential for sure, I just haven't loved the overall trajectory of his development to date.

I have no tangible evidence, but I also have a gut feeling he's got some minor off-ice-kinda issues as well.
