Im wondering if Kravtsov is still bitter about the Buchnevich trade.

Kravtsov, although had shown flashes of some solid skill, was always imo a tradeable asset.

As far as people beating him out. Gauthier did have a good preseason, however I think the shocker was Blais. Blais might have earned himself a spot up the lineup this pushing Kravtsov out.

I will trust the process. I have faith in Gallant.

is he still a tradable asset though? tradable in the sense that he would get a return that would make the team better?

Total joke on the NY Rangers. Kravstov is oozing with talent at just 21 years old. He got screwed over the first time and now they do it again. He is never going to break out playing with the culls he has been. This guy is a sniper that needs top six and pp time. He will shine one day, hopefully in the NHL. The Rangers management should have sent a memo to all teams about his availability. I do not blame Kravstov for being pissed because they treat him like an old shoe. I just hope the Rangers do not block him from another nhl team when the low ball offers start coming. Go Kravs, I am so dissapointed that he will not be in NY this year. That pp goal he fired home on the pass from Strome was a thing of beauty and now it will never happen again.

I'm like herpes. I only show up when it's inconvenient for everyone.
- BINGO!

That implies that there is a convenient moment, which in the case of herpes, when would that be exactly?

i'm not saying they shouldve tried to retain him necessarily. Just don't do the thing that drives down his trade value more than literally anything else, which is allow it to deteriorate so fast and so publicly. the team is the teacher, which has the professional obligation of acting professionally (like the adult in the room), whereas kravtsov is the student who has rules to follow but is not held to the same professional standard that the team is.
- picklerick

I hear you...but i would say the rangers in the teacher scenario sent him to the principals office rather than beat him over the head with a shoe

Could be. I was not happy when saw Friedman's tweet or the roster moves yesterday.

Wow.
Krav was one of the most exciting kids to me. But, (frank) that attitude. That hurts his trade value as much as anything else.
Good on Gauthier. I always thought he was good, but wouldn’t beat the numbers game. I guess the moral of the story is, draft Canadian!!

Yes he did this last year with rangers and when he was sent back to the KHL with their farm team. Still mgmt has to figure out how to make their top 10 pieces work. Drury is awful. Doaln is worse

Tons of talent, but sh!t attitude. Perhaps he can go play with Lias in LA.

These kids need to learn from Chtyil who took his demotion in stride and came back better after a short stint in the AHL. Nobody wants their prospects in the press booth as an extra.

Though, I will say that I don't know why Hajek was kept unless he's about to be dealt. Same with Hunt.

Hey fellas!

I gotta blame the player on this one. He’s always seemed a little entitled (not sure that is the right word in this case lol) maybe more of a me guy. And they aren’t keeping me guys around.

Krav hasn’t proved anything yet. He has some pair of balls imo. Kudos for that, but that poop ain’t flying around NYR land. You’re not handed anything, especially a top 9 role. He had one goal in the preseason, I’m sure the injury didn’t help but maybe he needs some more time. The twenty games he had last season weren’t anything great to speak of either. I guess taking some lumps isn’t in his DNA

Hopefully for everyone, maybe Panarin can get to him and help him understand the situation. From what I read recently, it was only a short term demotion.

All those feelings of punching a wall for passing on Wahlstrom coming rushing back… doesn’t feel like this will end well.

Anyone have a guess on the return? Don’t see a 1st rounder. Pass on a 2nd rounder (he’s way more valuable than Andersson). Maybe a similar type player, drafted 1st round but hasn’t found his stride yet.

- TC88

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I know it's essentially water under the bridge now, but I felt strongly at the the time that Wahlstrom was the right pick, and obviously I still do. Instead, they got cute, and look what happened. Makes me feel even a bit better about Jeff Gorton no longer being here.

Not that I'm putting Wahlstrom in the Hall of Fame, either, by the way, and get that he is on what is right now, at least, a better team. But could anyone really argue that he looks more like an NHL player than Kravtsov?

And same thing with Lias Andersson. Yes, maybe the way they handled him could have been better, and we'll see what develops with him in LA, but it's entirely possible, as far as I'm concerned, that the ultimate problem is simply that it was a lousy draft pick.

Someone has to check if Tom Wilson’s role in front office decisions is a violation of the CBA.

“ At the end of last season, Kravtsov had a contentious exit-meeting with Rangers management. Much of the strained discussion zeroed in on the way No. 74 trains in the offseason, which left Kravtsov thinking he was going to be traded. Kravtsov decided to fire his agent, Paul Theofanous, and hired new representation in Dan Milstein amid issues with Rangers brass”

So basically Kravs is a little whiney douche who doesn't want to put in the work, and wants to ride his 1st round pick status into the NHL Hall of Fame rather than improving his game in AHL with top line minutes....BUT...it's NYRs fault

This kid has been a pain in the a$$ from the get go. Needs to learn its not all about him, dump him now, he'll be back in the KHL in a year or two.
