i dont think anyone who is upset with management is excusing the player. just that management *seems* to have handled the situation about as poorly as you possibly could. Once the player is gone we still have management. obviously we are all joe schmo's sitting at our desks shaking our fists at the sky but, you know, that's what we're here for

It's the value lost on the asset that is maddening for me here. I have issue with Kravs regarding how he is behaving no doubt. But this logjam isn't his fault and he probably views his position on the depth chart differently than the organization does. They could have packaged Kravs + for Dvorak or someone else to fill a need and instead they turn Kravs from gold into poop.

Well, not compared to the production they get from Kreider for $6 mil, and there's also the fact that the Blues freeing up cap space is an asset in and of itself.

Fair enough. I just don't see how they fit his cap on the Rangers. When does his contract end?

this flies in the face of the whole justifying the buch for blais trade by putting blais on the 3rd line as someone like vlad would bump blais back down. but management has told us one thing and then done did the opposite more than once recently

The Rangers have had bad asset management for years now, but this is just a player whining and feeling entitled. If you are sent down, you report, light it up and you will soon be recalled. Chytil did it last year. For Kravs doing this same nonsense again doesnt look good on him. I called this out on him last year.

Agree Kravs is at fault. It also looks bad that they protected Hajek and ruined relationship with Kravs at the same time

I don't put this on management at all. They should keep him up so he doesnt suck out? This is the NHL right? Get rid of him, not mentally tough to play in the NHL.

Well yeah, But there are two ways to go about this, a smart way and the dumb way. They have chosen the latter.

This is pretty terrible management of the player/team, which should probably be put largely on the management

Maybe Seattle not taking Gauthier was a blessing.

it's like if a teacher has a very disruptive student and the teacher hits the student with a textbook.... is the student an bumhole? sure. was the teacher expected to handle that better and not commit a crime? absolutely. this is the nhl equivalent of a teacher hitting a disruptive student with a textbook
