So glad the season starts tonight, I want to hate on Drury more but going to focus my attention on the games |

Don't limit yourself, you can probably do both. |

Truth be told, I agree with the pickle On most things and definitely his politics so not canceling him. And our new band name is brilliant. I would volunteer for rhythm guitar. Maybe I was having a bad day yesterday- my apologies to all
(frank) Krav - man up! There is still time |

I really think the Kravtsov thing is way past the point of no return but stranger things have happened.
Any predictions for tonight? Time to first fight? |

Bold prediction- no fights tonight.
I really like the Rangers team this year and I think they’re headed for the playoffs and a surprise deep run. I predict 4-2 win. |

I think they're probably sitting at similar perceived value right about now, but I don't think Strome brings anything this Rangers team should be interested in. He's got plenty of skill but is also inconsistent, relatively slow, butter-soft, and doesn't have a strong defensive game.
He has shown that he can complement elite skill like Kane before so maybe he can fit alongside Panarin after his brother prices himself out of NY, but I'm not keen on paying for the opportunity to find that out. Even if Kravtsov's value is only a 3rd, I'd still rather have the 3rd. - MaximumBone
If he’s only worth a 3rd I would rather let him cry and go back to Russia and bring his value back up. Even if he never comes back, no thanks on a 3rd when we would have to watch him turn into the 60pt player he’s likely to become. |

That's the other scenario that I kind of favor. Want to be an bumhole? Go rot somewhere until you age out of your contract. He could be driving up his value in Hartford instead of being suspended. |

I don't know, the Rangers are one injury away in their top 6 to being depleted now. Last year they had players like Laf, Kakko or at the end Kravtsov that could step up in the top 6 if someone was out. Now they have no one. It's so thin Kreider has to play right wing. It worries me for the long haul of the season. |

Another reason the Kravtsov thing is such a (frank)ing debacle. |

Good point! our right wing depth chart is Kakko. For my prediction to be right Panerin, zib, fox and igor have to remain healthy all year |

100%. Won’t be a 1st, but one of those rebuilding teams could offer a 2nd which would be like 33, 34, 35OA which I could live with. Honestly, wouldn’t accept a pick lower in the draft than that. There are tons of former high picks out there in need of a change of scenery. That’s the route I see this going.
If not, can’t lose a top prospect for pennies on the dollar. Enjoy Russia. |

It’s really surprising that they voluntarily excluded Krav from the rookie training program and then he doesnt make the team? Has to be something that happened behind the scenes that we do not know about. |

Relax folks this is going to play out just like Puljujarvi did....he wont be able to find a deal suitable for the Rangers and eventually he will come crawling back. My bet is he plays in Rangers uniform before the year is out. He has no leverage except to go back to Russia |

Also it just puts so much unnecessary pressure on Laf and Kakko. If these guys don't produce big numbers now I just don't see how they contend |

After watching Kreider's interview from the other day, I get the impression that it's not so much that he HAS to switch sides. It's more that he is able to, preventing us from putting a top 6 talent on the 3rd line.
Many people on here expect that any forward can play any forward position. While that is true to an extent, it doesn't mean they can excel at the NHL level.
So, if Kreids or Kakko falter, we have Gauthier growing into that role to help out. |
