Some discussion in past few days on whether or not the AHL is a good developmental league and how the Hawks compare to other teams in developing players at that level. While I'm sure there is some loose interpretation of what "AHL Alum" means on these various teams, the AHL published this timely graphic today:

Just because players passed through the league doesn’t mean quality development took place.

Certainly not in Rockford until hopefully this administration.

Interesting. LV has a line of Krebs-Nolan Patrick-Dadonov. Hopefully we get to see them actually get the puck to see what the hype is about with Krebs and if Patrick is an actual player.

Thus far Grubauer seems to be losing the net a little bit. Could be first game jitters, but he seemed to over commit left to right and left quite a bit of net open on the far side for Pacioretty to score. Second was a pretty sweet move by Marchessault, but again he seemed to overcommit outside the crease. Pretty entertaining game thus far though (8 mins in). Lots of quick puck movement by SEA.

If the rumor that Bowman is trying hard to move Strome is true do you start him with Dach and Borgstrum and hope he plays hard or do you sit him to make sure he is not injured? I think you start him.

It depends how close Stan is to a deal. If a deal is imminent then sit Strome.

Yes, that's what I was implying with the loose interpretation of "AHL alum"- would be curious to see

1. what the earlier poster requested re: how many for each team were homegrown, and
2. the number of players who were in the AHL at least a full season
