That was ugly…

Keefe will have to swear a lot to get them going for the start of the second

Starting to beat a dead horse here but that Sandin/Dermott pairing is going to be an issue...

Both run around looking lost without the puck, kinda like young Jake Gardiners lol

From what I've seen through camp, I'd rather Dermott/Liljegren.

Think it's obvious Sandin will be the better player some day but Liljegren seems to be less of a liability to play in the NHL right now. I've watched Sandin lost in the offensive corners while the pucks going the wrong way 3-4 times tonight alone.

Agree Lilly looks better defensively. Will not happen though as he never played for the Soo. 😂

Watched it and the replay a number of times. I don't know where/when he peeked to catch Engvall, because other than being a set play, he had no way of knowing where he was. That was great.

You can't spell Mikheyev without Meh.

. . . poor jokes aside, I still have hope that he doesn't actually have hands of stone. He was certainly above average in the KHL, so I'm hoping he gets it back.

Ottawa take exception with Holl running Stutzle, Sabourin comes over the boards to address the situation. Pretty even fight until Sabourin reaches back and uncorks the rocket right cross. Holls knees buckle like Bambi, he's stiffened, iced, out, Medic, out, stretcher, neck brace, ambulance, career ending.

It was a beautiful thing.

Can't help but notice how little the lineup has been impacted by his absence.

Very realistically, we know what Mikheyev brings and it's good. This specific camp I have not been that impressed with him. I've been impressed more by Engvall. But camp is camp and you just don't know where they are when the games ramp up and how consistently they can play (which is really Engvall's problem - at his best, I like him a lot more than Mikheyev, but at his average, he's not as useful).

They're on the same level for me and I don't believe the team needs both. At that point it's a money decision and an easy one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mikheyev has been very replaceable since his injury, can't blame him... I'm sure almost cutting your hand off is a tough injury to grow back from.
