Agreed, playing it safe has its place but he needs to learn when to be more creative (with how he lets players play and which players he utilizes). Hope this team can come together quickly and avoid a rough start. The preseason has been a bit disjointed (obviously not all on TG).

Miller and podkolzin together will be fun to watch.

In terms of GMs - it’s SC or bust for JB. Quinn, Gillis, and Burke have all been better - however all three were poor to below average at drafting so if JB can solve his NHL/vet evaluation issues and better surround his young core over the next two years, then he could pull it out. Still a long way to go in terms of getting the results he needs to sit on top though.
