If there was a suitable deal, the Sabres would have accepted it?

St. Joe's product, local guy who probably likes buffalo, good age to fit the team, probably familiar with Rochester as well.

Also , didnt the Sabres have his name plate ready with the 1st pick in the 3rd round? Chicago grabbed him with the last pick in the 2nd round.

No, I think it's a bad look to force surgery choice on a human being, regardless of the cba agreement.

Which is why there’s negotiations going on in terms of liability and insurance.

Sabres aren’t letting him have the surgery without trading him and getting assets back first

claiming guys on waivers means you're going to keep him in the NHL. He's not really an NHL player, and he's not better than any of our top 6 D.
