Added Backlund for cap purposes, Calgary only has 800,000 in cap space. And wouldn't be a bad 2 or 3C for this young team. And probably could flip him for another asset in a year or two

So Ottawa is looking for a top 6 forward and sounds like some are wondering if they will be in the same situation with Norris next year as Tkachuk. Wonder if we could throw a package together for Norris and help them with there top 6 (Olofsson, Tage).

Hearing the situation remains “fluid” on the Eichel front.
That said, he visited several doctors around Buffalo earlier this week.

from wawrow's piece on the jack situation:

"The NHL’s collective bargaining agreement says teams are required to provide “serious consideration” to a player’s choice of a second opinion, but otherwise have the final say on treatment. The CBA does not provide the option of resolving disputes through third-party arbitration."
