Thrashers/Jets made the playoffs once from 2008-2015. Lost in the first round.
Iām not sure whatās worse, purposely trying to lose or trying to win and still sucking butt cheeks. They did well getting Connor at 17 in 2015. They donāt get Schieffle at 7 or Ehlers at 10 though without being a bad team.
Despite the way Laineās career turned out, Winnipeg did go to the ECF in 2018 and Laineās 44 goals didnāt hurt the cause.
Moral of the story there is a common denominator between Florida, Toronto, Colorado, and why they were able to bottom out and build strong competitive rosters, while teams like Buffalo, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Arizona are still spinning their tires in the mud.

I agree, and I think it happens sooner than people expect. There are 3 teams that are pretty serious and don't mind the surgery he wants and a 4th but there cap situation is a mess.
