Reigning first team all star until supplanted. Who’s the best team in the NHL, the TBL as SC Champs or #1 on some TSN list? And who’s second best? That’s right, SC finalists. So, Marner is officially #1.

How about this:

Top Canadian RW for the last 20 years.

- Atomic Wedgie

Umm... that's a good one.

The only elite Canadian RWs I can think of would be Marty St. Louis and Jarome Iginla. Maybe I'm missing someone... 🤔

Hard to compare though considering Marner has arguably not even hit his prime.

It's the one ugly little secret that Canadian hockey refuses to address:

We never, ever produce good wingers.

In the past thirty years, how many good wingers have been Canadian?

Kariya, Heatley, St. Louis, Iginla, Marner, Marchand. That's about all I can think of right now.

We always take the best kids and turn them into centres. And there's no way we would ever produce a guy like an Ovi - you think too offensively and you'd be benched.

Edit: and if you look at the list above, most are undersized. If they were bigger, they would have been centres.

Concussions don't care if you are a superstar or a plug.

Make sure you include the neck in your workout routine

Your head sits on top of it

too much effort has been put into helmet technology and not enough into how a strong neck may reduce the risk and mitigate the effects and duration of tbi

i consider my neck part of “core strength”

I expected Robertson to be considered more seriously for a roster spot this year.

Guess he didn't show enough at camp to stick around?

There's still plenty of time for him to bounce back though.

- Scabeh

If Liljegren isn’t on the roster opening night, he’ll never be an NHL’er. Another soft Swede without a hockey brain.

Robertson left a lot to be desired. He buzzes around out there, doing little moves that don’t work in the NHL.

Sandin is the only guy who going to earn a full time spot this year.

If there's been one thing you've been consistent about over the years, Skalapsie, it's been warning people of the dangers of pencil-thin necks.

It's a fair point that I hadn't really given much thought to until now. We don't seem to produce many world class goalies anymore either. Just Cs and Ds.

Per RWs, I think you can add Mark Stone to the list.

For LWs I think Huberdeau, Hall, Benn, Nash, and maybe a few more?

Not many though, yeah. Crazy.

I always tend to think of him as a 90s player but he did play until 10/11.

12th all-time in points.

He might be on Team Canada’s all-time best players.

Another way to slice it:

Take a look at any Team Canada from 1984 onwards.

How many of our wingers were actually wingers?

Your post just reminded me of Ryan Smyth.

Probably a little over-rated by hockey fans due to his devotion to crap World Championship teams and tournaments, but let's put him on the list anyways.

I was probably right last time.

So sure.

Someone had Matthews get 98pts, and Marner gets 47 LMAO

Who was that?

A friend is the daughter of deeply religious, split up Scottish Presbyterian mother and Iranian father who did the only logical thing and converted to Judaism.
