Contact sports will always equate to concussions but I think strengthening your neck muscles is probably a great way to help limit or reduce the injury.

The predominant issue with concussions is the impact ..especially high speed. Helmets are great at preventing superficial damage and impact wounds but the real brain injury is the brain smashing back and forth off the inside of your skull.

Yup, that’s why they signed those older guys Biega and Dahlstrom were brought on board… cheap vets who they can bounce up and down easily so they don’t have to play a defence group that is 33% rookies

No other teams will grab those guys and Liljegren would be too nervous to take on a role mid season

As for no LTIR which forward would they drop? It’s an ugly situation atm.

True cup contenders are good enough to develop young players by giving the sporadic playing time throughout the season. He could have been in the mix with Dermott. If neither is good enough this year bring someone better in at the deadline.

It's called rarely because it is an automatic major. Lucic got away with a bad one last year on a play that led to a goal. Armia got away with a couple in the playoffs and Chiarot got away with one on the play that JT took a knee to the head. I can't remember the last slewfoot penalty I saw called in a game.
