Just took a peek at capfriendly and it looks like the team is somewhat set
and Liljegren isn't with the big Club, well at least on paper he isn't. |

yup that's what it took to be cap compliant I guess.
21 out of 23 players is what they can do for now. |

was nice to see the team was crushed after gm7....at least you can see they def do give a poop and want to win...hopefully it helps them take the next step...but who knows...its the Leafs - senstroll
I stopped when we were up 3-1 against Montreal. That's all I need to see. I don't think I want to watch the rest. |

They have to make a move before the regular season. I will be shocked if they don't do something.
It could be a trade, or it could be trying to sneak a forward through waivers...but it would be a huge failure not to deal with the roster flexibility issue now instead of trying to deal with it on the fly.

I watched the 3rd episode this morning. I’ll watch it all. I’d love to see them this year just to get a sense of what changed. |

I've suggested it multiple times.
Try to sneak Engvall through waivers now.
If he is claimed - cap issues are reduced. If not, he is now waiver exempt for the rest of the year and we have some flexibility.

I think they can also make trades a month or so into the season. Everyone kind of loves their lineup now but maybe there’s an injury or maybe after a while Mik or Engvall looks better than someone you’ve got. |

I was thinking of just copy/pasting AA's predictions as they are already fact. |

They certainly can.
I just prefer more certainty than that. Right now, they aren't in a good position in terms of cap or roster flexibility. It puts them in a bad position if a short term injury occurs.
They can always put Engvall on waivers later in the season. But I would prefer they do it now, because this is the time when he is least likely to be claimed in my opinion.

So, in your opinion, moving the Giraffe's 1.25 mill deal to the A is the solution for team flexibility ??
Sorry, I don't see it. |

I wonder if they can get a 3rd or 4th for him. They are far worse players getting picked up off waivers |

No - getting Engvall through waivers is the solution, he would be called back up and put on the roster.
Getting him through waivers at the beginning of the year means he is waiver exempt the rest of the year. He can be sent up and down as needed - that's where the flexibility comes in.
As we are right now (if we run with 6 D and 13F) a short term injury on defense would mean a forward needs to go down in order to have the cap space to bring up a defenseman. If Engvall has already gone through waivers - he could be that forward.
