The entire quote:

2. On Eichel: there is a real push to find a solution, because Eichel’s displaced disc can’t be allowed to just sit on the nerve. He is going to need a procedure sooner rather than later. What’s helped is he’s getting his own MRIs, so he and his representatives can share proper information. That’s a big deal. More difficult to answer is whether or not he is traded first or gets surgery, returns to health and plays games for the Sabres to regain his trade value. No one will go on record, but there is a growing belief there are teams willing to accept Eichel’s preferred disc replacement. However, you have to be able to make the trade first. There’s definitely a push to get him healthy — which should be the number-one priority.

So its not even the SAbres sharing the information. Its Eichels camp?

Tokarski is easy to root for.
- kingcong39

He certainly is. That's all I can hope for, on the ice, this year - players I can root for, that they don't get caved in too much, and development of the youngin's.

It’s never a good thing when an agent needs to get this involved in getting his client out of town

It’s additional leverage against the Sabres

It’s likely we have the NHL/NHLPA/Brisson-Eichel’s camp all pushing the Sabres to get this done now.

We’re going to be massively disappointed I fear

- sbroads24

There are going to be several he come to defend this organization because they can do no wrong.

Its truly amazing.

Right, it’s not going to positively effect the return IMO

It sounds like now everyone is pressuring Adams to do this and he’s about to accept a very underwhelming return

- sbroads24

If this were the case wouldn’t Eichel be gone by now? There’s been a lot of pressure on Adams throughout the process and he hasn’t given in yet, would seem odd that he would suddenly accept a sub par return.

I think this is going to be all time bad hockey.

You have kids not ready being forced into positions they are not ready for, top that with AHL level goaltending.

He hasn't caved yet, and I'm certain he's had ample opportunity. Also it's common for agents to assist GMs to facilitate trades for challenging situations. And this one is quite challenging.

Which kids?

Which situations?

He moved Cozens to the wing (in PRESEASON) because he was struggling, and he has a very good game and puts up two assists. Granato has his finger on the pulse.

Serious question that there may be no answer to: What would be considered a sub par return?

What’s your definition of common?

The Sabres have made 20 trades over the last 5 years or so with quite a few bigger name players

What’s the last one where we even heard of an agent involved

Mitts, Cozens, Joker ,Dahlin to start

None of those guys can be Sheltered, not to mention they are going to get faced caved by top lines nightly.

The fact that Tokarski should be the starter tells you everything you need to know.

Like an ror return where you basically get nothing for the player, a fringe prospect a few cap dumps and a late first. I’d rather keep Eichel for the duration of his contract then take that kind of return.

Dahlin and Joker should be broken up. Let's see if that happens. We're not in game 34 of the season. There's still preseason hockey to play.

Their lack of a middle 6 tweener veteran C may hurt them (a "Henrique"). But, personally, I'm not worried about Cozens. He seems to have that mental makeup you need.

There are enough guys with *enough NHL experience on this roster, and Granato has the pulse of this team.

I really don't want to see this drag into next off-season. It's already brutal.

I think it would be intelligent, prudent, to wait for the deal to be made and the story to come out. You like to make these emotional guesses like the Sabres should have offered Dahlin 8 years and a big contrast but they didn'T!!! Then we hear from our insider that they did and Dahlin didn't want it. You have an agenda to not be wrong, as you always are, about KA. You might come out looking like a fool judging a trade that hasn't been made yet believing every Tweet that you read that fits your narrative.
