What I want: Lindholm, Mangiapane, Zary
What they want: Zary, 1st, Dube, Kylington
What it probably is: Zary, 1st, Pelletier, Backlund, Lucic - TheSabresTaco
My wacky Eichel trade scenario :
To Buffalo : Connor McDavid
To Edmonton : Eichel - salary 100% retained, Power, Dahlin, Samuelsson, Cozens, Quinn, Olofsson, UPL, and next years first.
I'd gladly do that, if it could be done cap-wise for both teams. Start with the best player in the world and build from there. Sounds better than our current re-build to me.
I seriously wonder if Edmonton would do that. I doubt it. |

Section 47.8, paragraph D, subsection ii of the CBA clearly states that team meals consisting of soups "shall be accompanied by oyster crackers or equal"
The CBA also classifies cereals as soup, so it's a weird quirk of the CBA that captain crunch must come with oyster crackers as well |

What if a player doesn't use milk in his cereal and the team demands him to use milk but the cba says Captain Crunch is a cereal but doesn't specify the need for milk, are the oyster crackers still required?

The PA does provide a "sauces, liquids and broths grievance process" led by the POE (panel of experts) but it's such a byzantine process that I'm not sure it's worth it for the player to press the issue |

Is this technical guidance by the PA or is it in CBA law?

He's on tape debating the trade for Eichel. It's clear that the surgery is a distant second to the issue of what the Sabres are demanding. - TheSabresTaco
One doesn't necessarily rule out the other though. While it may be more important, the ask could very well be met easily if the injury issues weren't present. If he's healthy, he's long gone by now. |

I don't doubt that. But if he's healthy, or rather, he never had this injury in the first place... I wonder if he says '(frank) this place' or is ready to lead a young team. I know we all think the former, but maybe not.

Highlights of last night’s FL vs TB preseason game in Orlando.
They picked up right where they left off in their first round series. They face each other twice more to end the preseason, they may kill each other before the season even starts. |

Literally every report makes this franchise look so pathetically inept
Eichel’s agent needs to help the Harbor Center GM negotiate trades. Like what?
@TheFourthPeriod
Adding to this morning's news from @DarrenDreger on Sabres/Eichel... his agent, Pat Brisson, continues to have constant dialogue with Sabres GM Kevyn Adams. I'm told Brisson is working with Adams on the trade front and is involved in conversations with the interested teams. |

If it makes getting a better return possible by Brisson using his own leverage (considering he reps a significant portion of the league) I’m all for it. |

I think it’s going to have the opposite effect but we will see.
Sounds like Adams is well over his head with this entire situation and it’s taken Eichel to get an experienced agent and Robin Lehner to open his mouth for this guy to get the teams medical records
It’s a joke |

Brisson is going to have to tread lightly on who is involved in the trade coming back to buffalo if he truly is involved.. he isn't going to be able to have anyone he reps going back to buffalo or he will lose a client probably |

Yeah, would have to see inside the mind to know. I got the feeling that he was on his way out for some time tbh, if it comes out in 20 years he used this to get out I wouldn't be surprised. Just no way to know. |

Right, it’s not going to positively effect the return IMO
It sounds like now everyone is pressuring Adams to do this and he’s about to accept a very underwhelming return |

29. Dustin Tokarski, one of the good stories from Buffalo, is pushing Craig Anderson and Aaron Dell for a spot in the Sabres’ net. Dell has particularly struggled, and with only one pre-season game to go, has put himself in a precarious position. |

Honestly, this doesn't worry me. Brisson is a pretty well respected agent. If he can help facilitate, fine. He wouldn't be the first agent to have a hand in these types of negotiations. This is from a day ago as an example:
Rangers tried to trade Libor Hajek
Over the summer, prior to the Rangers signing Hajek to a one -year deal, I noted that his agent Allan Walsh was likely trying to facilitate a trade for the 23 year-old defenseman.
https://www.foreverbluesh...-no-trade-market-for-him/
No argument about the laughing stock part, we just don't need to add things mistakes that aren't there. Brisson's involvement could be a positive one as he can try to assure or persuade teams, perhaps better than Adams can. |

If that is truly the case .... he wouldve been traded already. Eichel being stubborn about the treatment he wants its his own fault.
Adams hasnt found a team that agrees with it ..... so teams are siding with the sabres.
Eichel is in the wrong. |

It’s never a good thing when an agent needs to get this involved in getting his client out of town
It’s additional leverage against the Sabres
It’s likely we have the NHL/NHLPA/Brisson-Eichel’s camp all pushing the Sabres to get this done now.
We’re going to be massively disappointed I fear |
