Let's say you're at a garage sale, you see a broken table you love and know you can fix. It's a strong brand name, you know it's worth a lot of money but you can buy it maybe 60 cents on the dollar. The other guy can't fix it so that's why he's selling.

Are you going to buy that table if you can't fix it? Are you even going to offer anything for it?

You don't make a trade offer for a guy you know will only have one specific surgery if you aren't willing to give him that surgery.

It's not even an assumption. It's an unverified fact at this point.

They aren't going to trade for him just to continue the argument on what surgery is better for him.

Stronger reason would be the fact the medicals have yet to be released till this week..

Fusion is a horrible choice especially for a guy who wants to move freely and has the rest of his life ahead of him.

That's what makes no sense.

I believe they waited this long because the medical situation was too fluid. Sure I guess they could have shared stuff before, but it was always changing and that doesn't really help anyone. If these opposing GMs were left guessing whether he needed surgery or not, like, why the (frank) would you make a trade at that point.
