Signing Holtby for the year tells me they want to keep Oettinger down for the season. They still will need to either waive Holtby or trade Khudo or Bishop. I think it would behoove the Sabres to try and actually acquire a decent goalie.
Bishop shouldn't be out much longer. - TheSabresTaco

The other was Joe Flacco decided he could actually play QB for like 5 games. - Wetbandit1
The safety, who for one play forgot the whole basis of his position and let that Hail Mary happen to tie the game, went by Rahim “The Dream” Moore.
He lived up to the nickname, I have nightmares of that play to this day.

It doesnt hurt them. The salary cap rules are team friendly, meaning if you need it to count to get to the floor, then it counts. If you need it to NOT count because you are over the cap if it does, then it doesnt count. The Blog had a good explanation.
AND
Mannings arm was toast by the time he was in Denver. The D won those Super Bowls and Manning game planned his way to not lose them. The one he won in Indy is all his. Still one of the smartest minds when it comes to football - if you havent seen him and Eli on Monday night football on ESPN II, its a MasterClass in football. - atlsabsfan
Damn, I can't believe how much he sucked when he got to Denver |

Players both on the Bills and not on the Bills hate playing in cold weather.
Bills fans hate going to games in cold weather, as evidence by not selling out late November and December games.
most Bills players spend their offseason in warm weather climates.
The Bills were not at an advantage last week in the pouring rain against Houston.
When the weather finally started to let up last week the Bills pounced. - ImThatGuy
Disagree with most of this
-Throw out the last 25 years of sucking as far as citing attendance...could other factors he at work when the team absolutely blows ?
- Rain and cold are two different weather conditions
- Players want every advantage they can get..if they can use cold, snow to their advantage, they will. Bruce Smith walking out in 10-degree temperature with no shirt on and in shorts was friggin mind-blowing to the Fins ... and stoked the hearts and voices of 12th and 13th man!!
- who gives a poop about the offseason.

Because your argument is fundamentally flawed.
You chose an outlier game.
I gave you a 32 game sample size that showed dome teams losing outdoors.
It does not have to be -51 to effect a game. - Pegullaville
what does that have to do with peyton and drew losing playoff games at home?
your logic assumes they should win in good weather and they lose a bunch in good weather just like bad weather |

Biron on TSN1050 talking why an Eichel trade is difficult to make: "If the Sabres were to trade Jack Eichel, they would need to get 8M-8.5M in return to be able to get above the cap floor, who is going to give up players that make up $8.5M so that the Sabres are cap compliant?" - GilPerreault11
Not sure what YOUR point is here...
-3rd team & cap dumps are the answer here. |

I went off of an assumption that was disproven with fact. You were right I was wrong in regards to Manning.
However, I’m still partially right in my argument.
Moral of this whole meaningless argument, I believe the Bills benefit from playing outdoors |

I’m old enough to remember when the Chiefs were a neutral zone infraction in 2018 away from playing in 3 straight Super Bowls.
They do not play in a dome. |

Yes. How many home playoff games have they played in the last 27 years...in January with Temps at below 15-degrees?

so your comparing these temps to the -51 below zero game I quoted
got it
again last game where weather messed a team was when the chargers had to go to cincy in 1982 where it was -51 below zero with wind chill
you did nothing to prove me wrong here
the difference between -51 and 25 degrees is the same as the difference between 25 degrees and the vegas strip in august - homiedclown
-51wind chill, the week after playing an OT thriller in muggy Miami with probably a 99 degree heat index. One of the all time greatest playoff games.

Chargers would’ve avoided the Cincinnati deep freeze and been the home team if the Bills would’ve knocked off the Bengals while SD was in Miami. (Which, iirc, is the game where someone held up the Bengals ticket office and got away with the money. Never to be caught).
and then the Joe Montana, Taylor & Rice; the Bill Walsh west coast show took over the stage.

Marino lost all his games in good weather aside from two thumpings at the Ralph
Home field is no doubt an advantage
I think that is more of an edge then weather
That's all

Fair enough, that was before my time.
Looking at the numbers though, he looks like he was the best QB of that era despite not winning a ring. |

Yes, I’d say he was. I got to go to this Monday night game, he was lighting it up. It was amazing watching him throw the ball.
