Instead of the term “guys” the host should use “attention hungry twats”. How does that sound?

Holy poop, this was a real thing? Stop the world, its time to get off!
Sorry, I swore, I may have offended someone. Holy fecal matter... Wait matter may imply a gender bias. Holy food waste from a biological process... (frank) it, never mind!

I’m really starting to dislike him. One of the most talented players to ever play the game and he’s moaning about something that’s happened since the game’s beginnings. Jesus, man up Conner.

Flames have always been sneaky dirty that way looks like Tanev caught the bug lol. Not much Different when Giordano took out McDavid which was totally intentional.

What a bonehead move by the Flames to even challenge the goal. I’m enjoying watching that team implode.

When you are the best opposing players need to take liberties. Same thing with Crosby early on he was very vocal but eventually you get over it. McDavid just needs to speak with his play and all will be good.

It was a chicken sh!t move to be sure but Sutter is a tool so no shock there.

Flames will continue to circle the drain until certain things change there. Sutter is not the answer for coaching either.

I don't really care, I just think it's funny to hear one of the best players in the league piss & moan about being challenged going to the net.

You've gotta understand his situation though, surely, as a long standing Canucks fan who's gone through years upon years of losing, you become sour. This is just what McDavid is experiencing, the years upon years of losing is just making him sour

Crosby will never shake the “Cindy” label because of his early moaning. I hope the NHL doesn’t go the way of the NBA that treats their stars differently than the rest. To me that’s the same as ref “game management”.

That’s what I liked about the twins. They just played the game no matter how many liberties were taken against them.

I think in a few years he'll be fine after he's asked to be and been traded out of Edmonton

I actually think the NHL does treat them differently, but in an inverse sort of way. If they actually called things in the sort of way that they do with most of the players, guys like McDavid and McKinnon would get way more penalties drawn. McDavid draws 3x more "that could have been a penalty" calls than anyone else

He may be the best player in the world and possibly of our generation, but holy (frank) what a baby.

Imagine complaining about accidental contact when driving the net with the puck. I get that the best players tend to whine more due to opposition doing their best to contain them, but imagine complaining about Chris Tanev to the media. What a baby

I think they complain more because they have been treated differently their whole hockey lives. In the NHL, lesser players are coached to focus attention on the stars and it’s a bit shocking to them.

Conner must be thinking “I’m special! Doesn’t anyone realizes that?!”

the issue is though, is that they aren't special. They should be used to it by now, cause the best players get "special" treatment at every level, just like he has had to deal with it his whole hockey playing career. His intent, im assuming, with whining to the media is so the officials get wind of it and call it next time, but hes just making it worse for himself. I don't think anyone but the oilers are going to see that play and see what McDavid said and think "man, he has a point, maybe we shouldn't play him hard when he drives the net anymore or use our stick to try and knock the puck away" lol

Just remember, Cody Hodgson was using his back as an excuse and Canuck medical staff said it was fine according to AV and Gillis.

It's the old school mentality, players, or just workers in general, during the 70's/80's/90's/2000's were treated as things...a "means to an end". Society is changing in that respect, which is a good thing. The "suck it up" mentality needs to be eradicated from all physical sports people watch for entertainment.
