Can't wait for Jack Quinn to continue his physical and mental development so that he has a chance to use that shot consistently, cause god damn is it good.

Both Cozens and Quinn played their best games of the preseason tonight.

Peterka had a few shot attempts but nothing that was high danger, his game was rather pedestrian for the most part at 5v5. His work on the PP though was nice and that hard wrister leading to the Olofsson goal is an NHL ready shot.

Dahlin and Joker were meh, I’m not sure what Granato is waiting for to split those guys up. I don’t think they play to each other’s strengths.

Finally, it’s preseason so most of this means nothing but nonetheless

It’s really all meaningless for the most part.

Cozens is the real deal. I’m having less reflux over Quinn now

the kid was virtually nothing a year prior to his draft year. I think it may take him a little more time than say, a more well refined prospect. Regardless of the choice to draft him, I think everyone on that team knew his potential and how long it could take to get there. So it's also the mindset I've adopted.

I love the upside. Isn't that what's important about drafting 18 year old kids?

The fact that quinn just decided to make hockey a priority, oozes upside

You’ll never be this young again
You’ll only get older, watching yourself decay falter & sag until those who you thought loved you pack you into a roach infested nursing home where you’ll be packed nuts to butts up against the other living corpses before you die alone

Yeah that’s fair.

Peterka has had an impressive past 12 months. He looks like he can really be something in a few years with proper development.

Cozens’ underlyings are strong this preseason despite people’s worries about him. He should continue on his trajectory to being a 2C for us this year with several ups and downs due to weak supporting cast.

Quinn looked like an NHL player for the first time tonight, he’s a weapon in the shootout. Hopefully he can put together a good year in the AHL.

Poltapov has looked very good in the VHL, he might be another 2nd round stud.

Rosen hasn’t played enough but he has the look of a middle 6 winger so far. We’ll see what he’s got at the WJC.

Power’s D+1 season at Michigan should be fun to track.

Other then that, wake me up in July 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I put more stock in that then preseason.

The intensity is ramped up by a thousand

Half the vets in preseason go half speed, the others go less

I do get concerned when guys like Quinn or UPL don’t look like they are NHL’ers.

But anyone who’s been in the league a few years….I couldn’t care less what they do in preseason

That would be a nice add here if he would take a decent contract for 1 year.
