That is hilarious, and really (frank)ing sad. Sad because of our total lack of centers, sad because Eakin is paid more than $750,000, sad because he's paid like he should matter, sad because Thompson doesn't have the intelligence to play center, and sad because he's on the 4th line and is one of the most irresponsible two way forwards in the entire league.

He was much more successful playing wing last year. He played a lot of center and did relatively well in non NHL games. As a young C in the NHL he didn't really do much of anything. With maturity and development, I think they should continue to see if he has it in him.

They should. Nothing wrong with seeing Thompson at C in preseason, but they should also have Assman in there too.

Robin Lehner clarifies: he never was accusing Alain Vigneault of distributing pills to players. His claim was about the way the coach treats players, which he believes is unacceptable.

Lehner had a good call with the NHLPA yesterday. We’ll see what comes of the story this week.
