No, but I hear its popular with the kids (10 -15)
Korean hunger games type of thing, only with people who owe debt.

Was reading that they changed the subtitles for North America

The voice over is not great, better with watching it in Korean with subtitles. Violent as hell but as you say, pretty interesting
- winsix

im watching it with voice over and the sub titles on which do not at all match with the voices... its doubly annoying

We can’t watch anything with subtitles, my wife can’t read fast enough and she gets cranky as hell.

I think Bunting works with JT and Willie. I’m worried about Nick.
- Canada Cup

I think he'll be just fine. I don't even care if he scores a lot -- I just want to see him being a beast in front of the net and in the corners. Crack heads when needed.

Would be nice for JT to have a couple of capable offensive wingers for once in his career -- assuming Bunting is for real, of course.

But dude two did say he’d beat him up with a boner. Not sure if he’d use it as a weapon or if he was just happy to see him. There was plenty of weirdness to go around.

that's the fault of analytics though, isn't it? The third time through the batting order, is usually the most challenging for the starter.. It's not so much Montoyo's fault.. I put that on Shatkins
- PatC80

It is, but you hire a coach who believes in that stuff. Montoyo may be as or more married to the analytics than Shatkins - I don't know - but he does come from Tampa, where they are practically zealots.

I believe in those analytics myself. But like all analytics, you need to let them prove themselves out. The best hitters in a team's lineup are typically at the top. These are the most intelligent, versatile and dynamic of players typically who are good at adjusting on the fly, picking up tendencies, and learning from their mistakes. It's one of the things that separates elite athletes apart from excellent or good ones - the ability to adjust to the adjustments teams make against you (this is cited from Bill James). So the third time through, the team is picking you apart and the best and most adaptable of hitters are learning from their mistakes. That being said, pitchers are also adapting, changing, and paying attention (Is he on the fastball? Is he on the change? Can we set him up inside to get an outside slider to work?).

You have to give the starters a chance to fail a little before you jump the gun. I think Montoyo adjusted as the year went on, but earlier in the year, he was quick to pull that trigger and it was probably to our detriment. Maybe as a manager he is also learning - which is good; it doesn't necessarily absolve him of the blame he is due for his early mistakes.

Yeah, subs usually don't match dubs in my experience.

Considering how much anime and foreign film I consumed when I was a kid, I cannot watch anything but original language with subs. Dubs are just the worst.

He’s gonna be awesome if he can get away from Mikey

- Garnie

Ya, Mickey is the source of all of Engvall's lack of talent

Well, then I can't wait for Keefe to figure that out. Go Engvall!!!

Agreed.

The only things where I can tolerate dubs are thing I've watched and got used to in dubs in the first place.

Actually they can be so bad that they are great entertainment. The film genre can instantly change to a comedy.

I fully expect Ritchie and Bunting to each score 15 goals.

When you stand wide open in front of the net and Mikey has the puck and stands there like a deer in headlights. 🤷🏻‍♂️

🦒will score 10 tonight in his very 1st preseason game 🤓🤓🤓

From what I gather, it's more of a Battle Royale type thing (the creator directly cites it as influence) and less like the YA oriented Hunger Games.

At least, I hope that's what it turns out to be.

Bunting, JT, Nylander will be a great line.

Ritchie, Matthews, Marner will be even better. Book it.

I say that with confidence because MnM made Hyman look like a player that deserved a $5+M/7 year contract.

All Nick has to do is get to the front of the net and create space. Bang a few Dmen in the corner with some force.

I think he's actually more talented/has better hands/better shot than Hyman.

And, the biggest plus....he will keep Marner from getting the sharts.

True... when you get into some of those old Kung Fu movies like Champ Against Champ, The 36th Chambers of Shaolin, etc. it's half the fun.
