Yes, I remember that night well, I think it was after a game in Atlanta. However for some reason it always seemed the medical drama followed Lindros and not any other player. Why was that? - jd250
Nashville not Atlanta

According to the article I posted, the Flyers training staff was in consultation with the Flyers team doctors. I agree with your last statement and that was wrong for the family to do. I understand that they were angry about it and I would be also but Clarke really had nothing to do with that. - MJL
They called Bartolozzi, their orthopedic surgeon…might as well call the team dermatologist. Ha ha ha. I’m sure the orthopedist just spoke to the trainer. Not like he could do an exam over the phone. Oh, I’d be pissed too if I were Eric’s father. A lot of mistakes were made. |

There is absolutely no conclusive evidence of this from what I have read, or recall from that night. I have no doubt Lindros' roommate got him the help he needed, but what has always been a question in my mind is what if anything do Lindros say to the Flyers medical staff before he went to his room that night? If a player does not complain, how can the medical staff do something, ESP? - jd250
You need to do some more reading. As far as your recall, you stated that it was in Atlanta. It was not, it was in Nashville. Yet you state that you recall it well. I do agree that at some point in the time frame, Lindros should have contacted the medical staff to relay that his condition had worsened rather than soaking in a tub. |

Well the diagnosis was a cracked or bruised rib. I think an orthopedist could suggest to instead of guessing what the injury was to get a more definitive diagnosis using tools such as an X ray. They also had the option of bringing in the home teams doctor in Nashville.

My point is that your comment that it doesn't work that way in pro sports is obviously not correct. - MJL
Obviously, your point (if it could ever possibly be clearly understood through your horrible grammar) is...
