#88 was treated like a baby because he was often acting like a baby. Nice player, but all the Days of Our Lives poop started even before he was drafted by Quebec. I don't think you can place all the blame on his parents either. The sense of entitlement on the guy was just on a whole other level for hockey players. Any other league, maybe it wouldn't have been so jarring. But old skool Clarkie was never gonna be OK with a guy who continually put himself above the team. - Tomahawk
Never once saw Lindros put himself before the team. The Guy played with injuries and concussions. He isnt the first nor will he be the last not to want to play for a franchise. Heck Adam Fox refused to play for 2 organizations wanting to be a Ranger. He was immature but that's no sin and his parents were brutal. If wasnt for his injuries he would have set all sorts of Flyer records. Guy was a beast |

I think people forget sometimes how bad it was with Lindros, between not honoring the draft, to all the meddling from his father about who his linemates should be, etc, they were worse than little league parents! Lindros certainly had a point about how concussions were diagnosed and treated, but that was a league wide, and sports wide, problem, not a Flyers problem. In the end it doesn't matter how good you are, if you can't stay on the ice and you are not a good teammate you are a liability, and that is what Lindros was for the most part. |

I read his tweets. I couldn’t make any sense of them and have no idea what he was trying to say. He seems to be accusing AV of something but doesn’t actually say what that something is. I can only speak for myself…when I see nonsensical tweets I assume the tweeter is a buffoon and don’t take them seriously. - Dkos
Agree 100% with every word written here.
Lehner's nonsense is no different than people witch hunting Nolan Patrick. The normal "I don't know what is going on, but I have to find some kind of connection quickly and blab like a buffoon like it's fact". |

And don't forget, the reason he had so many injuries was because as great a player as he was, he couldn't do the most basic thing of skating with your head up and picking the right moment to be physical. |

If Lehner really wanted to do something about this, why didn't he go to the league privately and present actual evidence, so the league could start an investigation, rather and spouting off this spew over twitter and podcasts. - jd250
EXACTLY!
You know what is more powerful than twitter to seek personal attention....the NHLPA. They get paid A LOT of money to protect the best interest of the players. |

Instead go to the BestSun(.com) site (but substitute "Sun" with the Latin word for "pertaining to the sun"). The cool thing is that it also includes the RedZone channel. It also does other pro sports, including the NHL. |

Lindros parents were the worst I have ever seen in any sport. Thinking they were doing best for their son they hurt him terribly. I dont blame him much for not telling his Dad to go pound sand tough to do. As far as not wanting to sign with Quebec that happens all the time now. He was upfront with Quebec prior to the draft and Quebec had options but chose to draft him anyway. I never heard a teammate say anything bad about him so calling him a bad teammate I dont agree with. Kid was a beast and both Flyers and Lindros could have done things much better . Yep Clarke was old school which didnt do him or Flyers any good. |

Let's not forget that Lindros literally almost died because the Flyers medical staff didn't handle an injury correctly. Keith Jones basically saved his life. There were errors and mistakes made on both sides. |

If Lehner is really pointing fingers at the Flyers, it doesn't matter as far as AV is concerned though. It's not like the head coach is directly involved in the team's medical staff decisions. People get the Hollywood delusion like in the Dawson's Creek HS football movie where Jon Voight is forcing the team doc to inject a pain killer into the poor-old Fast & Furious dude's (RIP) bum knee. But it doesn't work that way, particularly in pro sports like the NHL. |

You are aware that Weise is very tight with Patrick and was considered a malcontent as a Flyer, right?

Jeremy Roenick got around it this way in the 2004 playoffs: he adamantly refused to be concussion tested. It was voluntary at the time. But he paid the price. Had severe post-concussion symptoms for 9 months. Had there not been a lockout, he still couldn't have played in 2004-05. |

From those in the know: Bonnie was considered far worse than Carl until near the end. Carl could at least be reasoned with. |

All I know is the Flyers look like they could possibly ice a competitive team this year and all of a sudden there is off-ice drama popping up that will no question linger around the team ALL year....what a surprise.
At least the fans have 2 games to really look forward to this year, especially if the current players on the Flyers DON'T have the same experiences Lehner does and the Flyers don't have to worry about Reeves.
Let the fun begin.
Update: Calling it now....Patrick and Laughton throw down.

Depends on the type steroids. They're not all the same. While technically not a pain killer, corticosteroids do act as an anti-inflammatory treatment, and shouldn't be considered a PED. But that's not the point. |
