Dude, you sound like a baby. These are professional athletes, they are subject to being called out in the media by their coaches.

You wish to stand by them. By all means.

We shall see what happens.

Really think this AV calling Hart out is being blown out of proportion. Are we just going to ignore all the times AV showed support for Hart? Or The many times AV has emphasized the team and organization fully believe in Hart and he’s their goalie?

Patrick had Li dros written all over him ????? So you think Patrick will have a HOF career??? Situations are totally different. Patrick was treated just fine by Flyers they gave him all the time he needed to heal and coddled him. Lindros was totally mishandled by Clarke IMO because Clarke feared Lindros would take his title of greatest Flyer.

He clearly is, I mean I watched two games so far and he is a beast, covers well, wins battles, skates well, hits hard but clean. There is a lot to like so far from Risto.
- jd250

Some people are complaining about risto since the trade......Even is risto is just"competent" he brings an element we deperately need. That accounts for a lot. If we had a couple of other physical D, then maybe we wouldnt need him.

I haven’t read a single smart or well thought out post about the Lehner, Patrick, Vigneault story this morning. Just a group of homers who don’t want to believe any of their personnel could ever be guilty of any wrong doing. With this said this sounds like a Lehner problem. Not a Patrick problem. Not a Vigneault problem.

My first reaction like anyone else was, Alain Vigneault is innocent because this is coming out of nowhere but Vigneault is also extremely arrogant, so who knows. Even if Patrick has said something vocally or in passing, the route Lehner has chosen is on him and him alone.

Well this certainly the most well thought out and written post regarding this topic.
Your argument is so solid Harvard law school may adopt this to argue the merits.

I’m not making an argument, nor do I need to. It’s a stupid story.

Just my opinion based on how poorly Clarke treated Lindros and knowing Clarkes ego. Lindros parents were arses but you dont treat a superstar as poorly as he was treated without a reason. I understand your need to protect the organization and Clarke.

it's the way he is going about this that I have a problem with. Apparently the league was never informed about this, since it's reported Daily is trying to set up an interview with him. Lehner never played for the Flyers but he is certain they are doing it, but his current team Vegas is not? He's never played for AV but he's sure AV should be fired?? He's also threatening the league to release new allegations every day unless something is done?? The guy sounds like nothing more than a disgruntled bully that cares about himself, otherwise If he had real evidence he should have presented it to the league already!

The reasons for why Clarke felt the way he did are well documented. There is no information that supports your opinion.

Not protecting anyone. But I know Clarke (a little) and know people very well who are close to him. Want to call Clarke stubborn? Sure. Opinionated? Definitely. Ruthless? At times. Ultra-competititive? Absolutely. Old-school? He is.

Egotistical? Nope. Not in his MO. It's never about himself. Never has been. Never will be.

Clarke is so "worried about protecting his status as the greatest Flyer" that, if he had it his way, No. 16 would not have been retired (or any another number except for No. 4 for Ashbee). Also as an FYI despite the things he didn't like about Lindros, it was Clarke's support within the HHOF selection committee that built a strong enough coalition to get him elected after he didn't get in his first year of eligibility.

Had Lindros stayed healthier, his family been in the middle of fewer distractions, and won a Cup, Clarke would have been thrilled.

Zak Kindrachuk‘s interview with Clarke really gave me a feeling for Clarke’s mindset. He really is all about the team.

No? But you put yourself out there as the arbiter of reasonable and rationale thinking on said topic.

#88 was treated like a baby because he was often acting like a baby. Nice player, but all the Days of Our Lives poop started even before he was drafted by Quebec. I don't think you can place all the blame on his parents either. The sense of entitlement on the guy was just on a whole other level for hockey players. Any other league, maybe it wouldn't have been so jarring. But old skool Clarkie was never gonna be OK with a guy who continually put himself above the team.

the only problem I had with it is it was done publicly, I would have preferred AV keep criticism about sensitive questions about work ethic between him and the player.

If he is in the know and the first hand players come forth with their experiences, it will indeed be a big deal though.

Wow, just catching up on @RobinLehner
tweets! Very rare for an active player to speak the truth and not be afraid to shed light on current situations! Mad respect @RobinLehner 🤜
