Bill, I think you are reaching a bit to find positives about Frost. Yes I did notice him a "bit" more last night compared to his previous game, but he still was playing catch-up most of his shifts. I recall 2 to 3 times during the game where Farabee and JVR are breaking in on a rush and Frost was no where to be found. I like my centers leading the play, not trailing it.
To me, the star of the game was Risto. He is already shaping up to be one of our best defenseman and a perfect Flyer! That play in the 1st where Risto kept the puck in the o-zone and flattened two Caps at the same time was just priceless! - jd250
Hockey 101. A center is not always going to be leading a play. In many cases they are deeper in the defensive zone and on the breakout than a winger is. Most of the team played well including Rostolainen. However it was a pre season game and the Flyers had an A lineup versus the Caps B lineup. Lets wait and see over a period of time how Ristolainen does playing against a teams top players in regular season action before anointing him one the best defenseman. He had some nice hits and didn't make any bad mistakes. Actually on that pairing last night, Sanheim was the best player. He was all over the ice. |

Lehner could end up in a defamation of character lawsuit.
Here is a player who had some type of addiction issues and now he is in sin city preaching like a back alley revivalist fire and brimstone snake worshiping pastor who is holier than thou...frack him |

I told you all Brassard had plenty left in the tank. He has been one of the best Flyers in pre-season so far, hopefully he can keep it up in the regular season because the Flyers desperately need a good C at this point. - jd250
Is Playing against 2 lineups with limited NHL players really that impressive?
We shall see how much he has left shortly.

Pills used to be handed out like candy in the NHL, someone needs to tell him to shut his mouth. He sounds like a new age “activist” looking at the past through a 2020 lense. The former captain in Long Island had one of the medical staff fired for not giving him his plane pills . |

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. This just doesn't come out of nowhere, and its more than a coincidence that its coming out of Vegas. Clearly Patrick was treated for his migraine disorders and now wants to blame someone for his sorry play, so lets blame the doctors and coaches of the Flyers. I mean, why not? It worked for Lindros! I told you guys Patrick had Lindros written all over him, and now its becoming clearer that this is unfortunately true! - jd250
Patrick had Li dros written all over him ????? So you think Patrick will have a HOF career??? Situations are totally different. Patrick was treated just fine by Flyers they gave him all the time he needed to heal and coddled him. Lindros was totally mishandled by Clarke IMO because Clarke feared Lindros would take his title of greatest Flyer. |

Preseason....Brassard is a quality 4C better then Thompson but Flyers are in trouble if he has to play 2C on reg basis. Limited ice time as 4C and he could be effective.

Brassard will put up more points than Thompson would but albeit in a pre season game, Thompson was solid last night. He is strong on the puck and solid defensively. The issue is the Flyers don't have a 2C right now unless they want to move Giroux back to center.

Lehner needs to shut his 🥧hole. A pathetic attempt for attention. There are proper ways to go about this if he wants to file a complaint. What a 💩head, beat it! |

So dumb to do this on Twitter. If it’s found that there’s no substance to this av could certainly go after lehner legally. |

Even Giroux I believe isn’t up to that task. As a 3C yes. It’s simply a hole in the lineup for now |

Brassard’s move was definitely a character move, which this Flyers team has desperately needed in recent years. Not making any predictions for the season, just excited to have Flyers hockey back. Let’s just enjoy the ride and hopefully we can make some noise. Let’s go Flyers. |

Ristolainen had a very strong game last night.
Re: Frost, his details were good last night. He had one of the better defensive games I've seen him play since turning pro. He forechecked well and created a Caps turnover in a dangerous area. Made the aforementioned stretch pass to Farabee and a good pass to Ellis. The shootout goal was meaningless but the Flyers are 1-for-13 on attempts over the two games; maybe that can an offensive confidence booster for him because he doesn't have much of his offensive confidence back yet. But you have to start with the process that leads to offensive chances and his process was quite good last night. When AV and staff watch the videom they'll likely be happier with his game last night.

We play Vegas twice this season. Hopefully Lehner starts both games and we put a lot of pucks in the net. |

Exactly.
If something nefarious occurred it would mean that employees of a company as risk averse as Comcast went behind the medical staff and illegally provided prescription medications to a player AND neither Patrick, his agent, his friends or family said, "Hey, wait a minute. Let's talk to the doctors about this."
If legitimate, one would assume a complaint had been made via the NHLPA a while ago that has not been made public.
Otherwise, the logical next step is to break the story by having Robin Lehner tweet about it (sarcasm). While Lehner has been publicly dealing with his issues for many years now, that fact doesn't, by default, indicate that he is 100% stable.
I guess we'll have to see how this plays out. |

Lol. In hindsight Lindros was right about pretty much everything concussion related.
Like it or not AV is going to end up being investigated by the team or the league over this just like Evander Kane just was over another Twitter rant. |

He gave up a breakaway after not handling a bouncing puck at the blueline, but I really liked what Yandle brought to the game as a third paid D. The puck movement on the power play was noticeably quick and decisive when he was out there. Another guy that also stuck up for his teammates. |

I read his tweets. I couldn’t make any sense of them and have no idea what he was trying to say. He seems to be accusing AV of something but doesn’t actually say what that something is. I can only speak for myself…when I see nonsensical tweets I assume the tweeter is a buffoon and don’t take them seriously. |

Well, minus being the franchise all-time leading points-per-game player, a Hart Trophy winner and two-time Hart finalist.

Definitely a weak ass move to do this over Twitter. The league and PA are supposed to handle this stuff. |

Lehner may be a very bright guy and may have something important to say, but those tweets make it very difficult for me to take him seriously. |
