Play the top 4 mostly major minutes & stay outta the box. Don’t wanna see conservative F style just smart play & skate/work hard every shift. 3rd pairing D minced in & more TOI on merit & if a decent lead is built. OEL & Poolman could be the cogs to allow all of this.

So now that it looks like the salary cap roster is set, more or less, after the signings. The team will have a couple of million to spare with LTIR cash and JB's super flog the deadweight offseason. Are there any teams really up against the cap that have a decent Dman that they might have to part with. Need to find a diamond in the cap rough.

Think team's salary structures are set. Would look at teams that aren't going to be great (Buff, Ana, Det, etc) to see if there's someone they can pry out, or a team that might need more forward help

Team cuts are coming later today but I think OJ will stick.

Hughes Rathbone and Hunt don't kill penalties , OJ does and is not bad at it. I think he will be paired with Burroughs or Myers for a bit but when Hamonic gets put on LTIR I think they will look for RD.

I'm just done with trading off our picks, and that is really all those teams will want. If it isn't a bigger trade with a team that has D depth, like Carolina, then we really don't have much to offer. Just be plugging a hole on D and making a new one on F. So it's might just come down to Don's favorite...Waiver Scraps

Until the flat cap is over about half the league is juggling rosters to make numbers work.

I can see next year Canucks trading off Pearson unless he is a twenty goal scorer. One can complain about it but it is just the way things have to happen for the next few years.

Pearson and Bo have good chemistry together, Bo likes him so I don't think they'll move Pearson.

Agree with your comments about the defense. OJ' being a good PK'er will help him make this team, he's actually pretty decent defending in his own zone, it's off the rush that he struggles since injuries have hurt his ability to skate like he used to.

I respect Hamonic's situation, but for his own team's sake, you'd ideally like to see him make a decision sooner rather than later. He's put Benning in a really tough spot here

The thing I have seen with him is he gets better as the season gets deeper.

Watching the presser with Quinn and Petey... QH looks miserable. Gave Petey the eyes when someone tipped toed the question about the bridge deal and "seeing where the team is at" when it's up.

Not sure these guys are big on the local fans and media these days.

Pearson is the 3.25 mil luxury that this team can't afford on the 3rd line. That cash would be a decent Dman. How do you trade that deal in a flat cap world... I don't know.

Especially if he's NOT a 20 goal scorer who is lining up for an older slower 3rd liner at that cap who can't score?

One made up a rumor and story about Quinn needing at-home oxygen while battling covid19 and another asked pettersson if he regretted signing in North America after he got a concussion from Matheson.

Vancouver media sucks, much like the rest of the Canadian hockey media

Come playoff push & playoff teams vets command decent to very good returns for a Pearson.

Prospects & team play will determine if JB makes moves.
