Is Pettersson injured?

No, I think they're just giving Riikola a look.

Simon looks much faster and really liking what I see from O’Connor. He should be in the lineup.

Today's lineup:

Heinen-Carter-Rust
Zucker-ERod-Kap
McGinn-Blue-Simon
O'Connor-Boyle-Lafferty

Dumo-Tang
Matheson-Marino
Riikola-Ruhwedel

I'm very much over the Lafferty experiment.

For everyone who hates Simon, he at least pushes Lafferty down a spot on the pecking order.

Seems like Heinen might be ahead of Simon too. So long as they don't actually push him as a top line talent he works.

I'm not sure if you're watching, but Simon and O'Connor have both stood out to me. Simon looks visibly faster and possibly like he put on some size.

The Pens have dominated this game the way they should be dominating, so that's a good sign. Outside of a few lapses and a few pushes from DET, the Pens have played a tight systematic game.

Heinen has not looked out of place on the top line. In fact, that line has been really good. Rust IMO looks like he's found another level; he's been dictating play out there.

The PP is definitely going to be a problem until Sid comes back.

No problem.

The other thing I see people here whining about is Boyle’s speed. He’s looked good IMO, but he’s slow lol.

I was saying he looked good after seeing that first game too. I have no problem at all if he's our 4c.

Same. I thought he was effective when the Pens were in their own zone.
