I think the Leafs have been so terrible at drafting defence that fans struggle with how a guy could climb up the ranks as quickly as I predict Sandin will. They always go out and sign FA’s or trade for guys to be 2-6 dmen.

It's been five years with this core. And this GM is married to it "for better or for worse". So, yes, you can, and should fire him in this case.

Tough to explain since each period is essentially done on its own… for instance the second period ended with a long shootout and the third has been calling PP mins but not actually handing out penalties lol
