I put the odds of them being no lower than 30th at 100%
Thats my feeling. I think they're a 30th place team - Hank Balling
as long as donnie meatballs keeps the kids moving, this team will be better then 30th unless the goalies suck
32nd place here we come |

Who should he trade for? Are any All-Star goalies available for trade? - RichardRoma
I did not say we need an All Star goalie, I think we just need a Capable NHL Goalie.

We have one in Anderson unless something has changed. He didn't play much last year obviously and he's old, so he's discounted. Y'all should remember he's had like three or four sub .900sv% finishes in his entire career and half were at the very start of it. If he stays healthy he's a big improvement over Hutton, maybe even on par with a healthy Ullmark if I dare say. |

I agree Quinnfan. That was the worst livestream I have ever seen. The audio leveling was awful, with music played at twice the level that was appropriate, and often listening to multiple audio sources at once. And the replays during game time was amateurish. Let's hope that the Wings get a director and audio man who has a clue before any more streams. |

Jays blew it last night.
Left 8 guys on base, Montoyo stood there with his hog his hands last night and pulled Ray too late.
I follow baseball from afar but I wonder if the Jays make any coaching/front office changes if they miss the playoffs.
With the seasons Vladdy, Semian, Bichette, and Hernandez are having its unbelievable it’s even coming to this |

Our game vs CLB had some weird nonsense going on too with the feed from the jumbotron cutting into the announcers. It isn't just you guys. |

There's also a chance, and perhaps a likely one, that Anderson with his age ends up being as healthy as Ullmark has been. |

they are 5th in run differential
it's time to fire the manager esp if they convince semian to come back |

To be fair, how many teams have seen more success than Red Wings fans the past 25 or so years ?
It will still take a few more years of stench for the Red Wings to get over that, especially cause they are purposely in the toilet and have quite possibly the best GM in the sport - Pegullaville
Look for improvement from the Wings.....500+ if injuries don't keep hitting them, like Vrana. Yzerman won't allow that, avoiding veterans becoming disgusted with losing, UFA's who refuse to join a bottom feeder, and potentially losing a patient and supportive fan base. If tanking was the goal, we never trade for Leddy or resign Staal. I am excited to see what we can do this year. BTW, Buffalo is my second favorite team in the league. I want you guys to win a Cup soon....right after Detroit wins another. I have been Sabre's fan since the days of the French Connection and Roger Crozier. Keep the faith guys. |

Besides draft position purpose I couldn’t care less if the “team” looks improved.
Half this team won’t be here in 2-3 years when we’re competing (hopefully)
I only care how some individuals look.
The odds are stacked heavily against Granato and Adams being here to see the finished product
If they finish last or close to it this season, they have to make the playoffs the next to keep their jobs
No coach/GM gets >3 seasons to look semi competent |

I live about 2 hours away from Detroit.
Never got to watch a game at the Joe but I would love to see the new arena.
I think the Red Wings pick top 10 again this year but they have a stable of young players coming along. Seider and Raymond will both be treats to watch for a while. |

Sabres are going to see a ton of backup goalies this season and I think they'll probably catch good teams napping occasionally. We'll see, and it would hardly be shocking if they did finish last, but 30th place is my story and I'm stickin to it - Hank Balling
However they do this season, they'd fare worse with last year's schedule.
Last season was played under such absurd conditions that these comparisons don't hold much water.

Jeff Blashill ?
The Sabres should remain patient, rushing the rebuild is what got us into this mess in the first place |

They should, but more than likely fan pressure will push the Pegula’s to fire people if they aren’t good the following season to this one.
Imagine keeping a GM with a 3 year resume of - Last place, bottom 3, bottom 10.

My biggest concern going into this season was who is going to become this year's Skunk, Risto or ROR. However, I am feeling much better now because a guy who has never even played 1 second of a regular season NHL game has leaped to the front. Jack Quinn has been crowned by this forum as the newest whipping boy. It sure doesn't take long...... |

He should be, yeah. That save percentage from Carter indicates he's fallen behind. Obviously it's only percentiles away but falling into the .88 range is pretty bad. To put it in perspective, Craig hasn't had a season that bad since 2005.
What's worse, when Ullmark has been healthy, Hutters has gotten the easier games. That wasn't the case in Ottawa for old Craig. |

I chose the name for a reason. He's a bust before ever playing an NHL game.

He’s 20 and doesn’t look like a top 9 player on a preseason roster

Hes not a whipping boy.
But people automatically assume he's going to be this star player.
Its a Josh Allen Scenario. Hes raw, has natural athletic talent, he needs a hell of a lot of work to be made into something.
Prior to the year he was not even a 3rd round pick.
Gets to ranking mid-late first in an odd year for hockey.
Sabres pick him top 10.
He is a long shot to be worth a top 10 pick. |
