I know the result isn't what was hoped by Leafs fans.

But I still think shows like these are awesome. Wish they'd make one for my team.

As for right now, who cares about preseason, you're playing half teams. Just going to through the paces, stretch those legs, build that cardio. Cool, they won a game. Nice. But my concern level wouldnt change if they go 6-0 or 0-6 in preseason. Means nothing.
Honestly, for this leafs team, the whole reg season really doesnt mean anything, outside of being a conduit for getting a playoff spot.
Its all about what they do in the playoffs....where it actually means something, to me thats all that matters this year.

From a players perspective, sure...the above applies. But they most likely wont watch.

From a fans perspective, it doesnt apply.
But some of the behind the scenes stuff will be cool to see.

Agree. From a fan's perspective, new season, past doesn't really matter. I don't buy into the idea of choking. Its about putting in the work and being prepared at every level. Hard to see a team like Arizona having a chance to compete for anything other than the Shane Wright sweepstakes, but any team making the playoffs has a chance.

Is this what other fanbases feel like year over year? Good lord it's weird not to just circle the games on the regular season schedule against the teams we hate and pray the Leafs win so we can brag about it for a week or more.

I know the preseason doesn’t mean anything but I’m not going to discount the whole regular season especially when it’s a real season that should tell us something about the playoffs - November 4 and 6 Boston and TB. I’m also going to enjoy regular season hockey. It’s silly to devalue it if you’ve got a good, entertaining team to watch.
