I got an email from MLSE - they are hoping for full capacity for regular season games.

Having said that, they still haven't officially told us what is going to happen, nor have they sent us tickets.

As an aside, all tickets will be electronic this year. Kinda sad. No more ticket stubs in a shoebox.

- Atomic Wedgie
That happened to us in the 2019-2020 season. I was sad to see them go too. It would've been great if they could of just kept both options. Although, knowing that there won't be anymore ticket stubs might finally give me the kick in the ass to do the ticket collage I've been planning since I was probably 8

Frankly, I think Mrazek probably wins the starting job this season. I'm not terribly confident that Campbell's enormous success last season will continue into this one. Though maybe Mrazek pushes him and the competition is healthy for both goalies?

Kuemper would have been a nice addition but yes, it would have necessitated a big move like Marner to really make it happen. Don't get me started on Marner, please.

Campbell has never played that many games in a season, but he was once touted as one of the best young goalies in the world - expected to be a franchise NHL All-Star goaltender. He had to learn to deal with confidence issues and overcome some challenges, but his raw ability is very high - literally in terms of his projections, his _raw_ talent may be the highest of any goalie we've had in a long time.

I'll admit that have a lot of faith in that raw ability. Can he be leaned on to play 45 games in a season, which is basically half of the NHL games he's played so far in his 6 year career? I don't know, but now's the time for him to show if he really can do it.

This all said, Mrazek is a solid goalie. The 24 year old kid who got obliterated in Detroit, I think, is probably in the past. I think he's learned a more foundational element to his game in Carolina, and he is, at times, spectacular as well.

You mean the one who is 24 years old and has scored 358 pts in 355 reg season games and has 25pts in 33 playoff games?
Ok.

Again its preseason, so when I said "when it counts" I just referring to any game that means more than a preseason game....so reg season.

- Fakepartofme

I mean the one who has 0g10a in his last 18 playoff games.

So when I refer to "when it counts", it's the past 3 (frank)ing post-seasons he's played where he's done jack poop.

"Ok."

Well, we know he is not a scorer.
But ya, he could have done a little more point wise the past couple of playoffs.

Not sure how that will fly next year.
Poor guys have to play in that garbage stadium. But the single guys will enjoy Montreal.

- Fakepartofme

I imagine them playing on the field having to deal with rules about the support beams. If the ball hits a support beam in the outfield, it's considered a ground-rule double. If the ball hits a support beam in the infield, it's considered a dead ball.

If the ball hits the support beam behind home plate - run. The stadium is going to collapse.

I once was riding the subway home from a game, and got to chatting with an older couple.

They had taken their tickets from the 2004-2005 season and mounted them, with the caption "The Leafs' Undefeated Season."

I still have my tix from that year - always tempted to do it myself.

Yep! Campbell's dealt with injuries and confidence issues his entire career and it's commendable that he was able to put it all together for a truly exceptional campaign last season.

Having said that, the jury is still out on whether he can handle the pressure and will team's be able to pick up on any exploits he may exhibit (if any) the more they play against him.

Mrazek is a bit of a wild goalie who isn't shy in making some high risk/high reward chances. Definitely a bit of a mystery on his own but he's sort of like the opposite of Campbell in that he doesn't lack in confidence and he's far more battle tested.

The goaltending this year is a wild card that is going to be fun watch. Or an absolute train wreck. Or both.

If Campbell and Mrazek stay healthy, I think our goaltending will be above average..

How's our boy KK looking so far at camp?

- Scabeh

Seems fine by all accounts. The beat writers in Raleigh don't ever really wax poetic about guys in drills.

they're giving him some game action tonight. Kotkaniemi-Trocheck-Teravainen is the top line. More or less just trying to figure out where he fits but their preference is to use him there if he finds some chemistry.

I like a Mikheyev-Kampf-Kerfoot line

Won't score a bunch but great defensively and the two wings are great puck transporters and that skill isnt needed on the top 2 lines...but would be affective on the 3rd.

So Will day to day. Ian Scott re-injured his groun and we just signed Evan Cormier to a PTO.

Man our goalie depth and pipeline rather sucks right now.

The smallest guy in the draft - just to upset Habs fans.
