a shame they can't concede this game to save on 2nd half injuries

Good game to let them get reps on offence….gotta build …they are young on offence.

They're not going to look to add at the trade deadline if they're in the race? If they think they have a shot at the Cup?

If they are in the race and think they have a shot at the cup should they not be looking to add? God forbid you give up picks and prospects to try to win, need to worry about that future down the line that may never come.

Now if they are a middling team and do not look like a contender then you have a point that the probably shouldn't piss away much in terms of picks/prospects.

Where to begin. First of all with the worst of the silliness. Couturier has been a Flyers his entire career. As long as he got a fair deal, he isn't going anywhere. Farabee had to probably think about a millisecond before telling his to sign that deal! LOL

How are the Flyers not in cap jail? What's going to happen as the new players they added age and take on lesser roles? When the quality young players the Flyers have need new deals?
Some people don't understand or can't grasp it. They state that Fletcher didn't give up the future. As if someone suggested or insinuated that in one off season that Fletcher would or even could give up their entire future. It's hysterical. Does anyone think or believe that the aggressiveness that the Flyersbrass wanted is going to cease after this season? They won't again be aggressive next off season in trading picks or prospects to try and win now? They won't be aggressive at the trade deadline and trade more picks and prospects to win now if they're in the race? Some just don't understand that it's cumulative. The situation that the Flyers wound up in from the Holmgren years didn't happen overnight. It's really comical.

So you're complaining about what the flyers are going to do next year and the year after ?? SMH

Hayes is within the top-60 Cs in terms of P/60 and xGF/60 at ES (with at least 500mins played). Top-40 in primary A/60. His production definitely seems to qualify him as an NHL 2C, albeit more of an average one.

If there's a problem to be pointed out it was his defensive play and overall puck management last season. Left a lot to be desired. Hopefully he can get back on track there.

It's a good point. Both seasons his production has been fine, but defensively I had hoped for more from him.

i'm sure you all saw some bad Hayes games that I missed... but I've seen him have so many good games. Him picking off a pass and starting a rush the other way happened so often I fell in love with him pretty quickly (until he'd break my heart doing a spin around pass for no good reason)
