Looks like he's AHL bound - I think the Q would be a step down for him. He' needs all around development but has the skills and talent for Abby.

He’s taller than I thought, but looks so lean. Think he’s going to need to mature a bit more before pro hockey. We’ll see I guess.

And Rathbone wins the shootout. You love to see it.

Right. The proper protocol here is to go back and edit the earlier post - something which is not an option on Twitter. My bad.

That was fun. The Seattle jerseys do look 🔥🔥

Hey Carol, nice to have you on board in the comments section tonight, engagement is important for building your brand, I think you’re doing a great job of it.

Night all, fun to watch hockey again.

3 goals from an ECHL roster. Clearly this was about the fringe guys.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Juolevi get demoted the first day that mass players get waived.

He needs to make the team just to screw with band wagon fans. Burrows? What? Dragon Slayer?

OJ and RathB bring different things . JR is excellent in the O Zone almost Hughes like and not so good defensively almost Hughes like

Impressive, considering he only spent 2 years there.

Assuming Hamonic is out I wonder if they will consider:

OEL Poolman
Hunt QH
Rathbone Myers

OR

OEL QH
Rathbone Myers
Hunt Poolman

Schenn as 7th D (and OJ playing a full year in the AHL if they think he will clear waivers).

QH gets raw deal switching sides but could see Hunt just playing it simple. Not stoked about the alternatives with QH on the left.

There was not a lot to take away from last night seeing that team is so far from what a regular night roster will look like.

The main focus for me was Rathbone /Schenn. I thought Schenn was invisible , don't know if he got injured.

Rathbone was showcased and we seen the good and bad. I was very impressed with his skills in the other end. He reminded me of Morgan Rielly. He does still have to work on his giveaways at the other teams blueline and coughing up the puck. I think he can turn out to be a very good Dman with more ice time . The problem is him and Quinn thrive at the same thing and there is only so much PP time . He will become the odd man out so I am hoping Hughes contract talks take a bit of time so we can get more of a look at JR.

Best thing for the team is to get Hughes here now, in shape, focused and used to the new players. I understand the curiosity... but Rathbone hasnt even had a full season in the AHL yet. The longer it takes to get Hughes going, the worse the team is for it. They have a lot of time to see what hey have in Boner... not a big priority.

Remember, Hughes is still developing. But not while he sits without a contract.
