It's doubtful. I'm not sure what the rules are with the junior eligible players that were in the AHL last year. If they can be moved up and down. Giroux is going to be on the PP and running it off of the half wall. Aren't they in win now mode and aren't you happy about that? Tired of waiting? What makes you think that one of them can run a PP like Giroux can?

I think every year should be "win-now" mode as I have previously posted. The problem with the Flyers' PP IMO is they don't shoot the puck enough! We have all seen Giroux run the PP for several years now, with these same players, and its mediocre at best. When Giroux was a shooter it was better, but as he has aged he shoots less and less. That is why I want snipers on the PP, and unfortunately that is not something the Flyers have an abundance of. Foerster at a minimum is playing for the Phantoms, but I am starting to think, or maybe just hope, he makes the team similar to Farabee a few years ago. AV mentioned its night and day in terms of Foerster's growth from last training camp, so that is a hopeful sign.

Jake being gone is addition by subtraction on the PP.
Like Ellis teaching the young guys in practices too. Someone said earlier the moves the flyers made have potential to hurt them long term....i dont think that person is taking into account the teaching and the vet leadership that is helping the kids with some of these moves.

Jake being gone in general is addition by subtraction. That was probably my favorite trade of the off season!

100%, 2 years earlier would've been perfect.

The PP like everything is about balance. Yes, they need some shooters but you also need a playmaker like Giroux. Allison is hurt so that could temporarily open a spot.
Every year can't be a "win-now" situation. That doesn't make any sense.
