Also, very rarely does talent translate to being a great coach.

one of the things the article points out is that this young group is coming together off the ice...it's not hard to think that donnie meatballs has them thinking leadership from everyone as a group right now so that the "heavy is the head" quote will be dispersed amongst four or five youngins' heads--mainly dahlin, cozens, mitts and joker

That’s necessary (smart move by management) for the next 2 seasons, chemistry is great and is a positive sign that this group might have something. It doesn’t show that any of the kids have that leadership quality that stands out.

Losing changes athletes, that room will have a lot of lows, Granato did an excellent job managing that last season so that will be one of the major factors of this season, how they react.

he did...and he stressed that winning isn't everything right now when it comes to them as a team as individual growth and development as a team takes precedent...of course, he stressed that at the end of a lost year in about a quarter of a season...we'll see what happens come december and january when the season is a slog and we could easily assume that they'll be near the bottom of the conference (if not the league)
