OTR spoke to multiple NHL executives about the situation, Buffalo’s asking price for the injured and disgruntled center, and where it goes from here. One exec who spoke with Off The Record called Buffalo’s ask “still insane.”
“It’s insane what they’re still asking,” said the NHL executive who has spoken directly with Buffalo GM Kevyn Adams and his staff. “They’re going to be stuck with him, and his value is just going to decline even more.”

Edit: I posted this for Broads' pleasure. I thought the quote from the NHL executive was directly out of his mouth especially how they are going to be stuck with him. If he would have said he overplayed his hand I would have won on my bingo card. |

An anonymous executive thinks the Sabres demands are too much?!? KA should totally roll over immediately and settle for a ROR style package. Because that's what "not a joke" franchises would do.

Adams needs a Heffer to get out of his slump. He dealt the Skunk south, and now he needs to find a buyer for the rat however he’s dealing with a bunch of wildebeest. |

Imagine that. A guy in a negotiation says that the other side is asking too much. Film at 11.

Well, the price was coming down this morning on here by some, and the willingness to offer some conditions on Eichel's performance and health to get a deal done. Before Nick Kypreos posted that Tweet that would have been unacceptable by many. |

Ramus Dahlin said he was excited about changing the culture. What do you think he meant by that, who did he mean? Was it just Ralph who many liked? Are some glad that Sam, Jack and Risto are outa here? Many will claim Ralph but he was there for a year and a half. Maybe the big three not wanting to be there really wasn't that great for the team culture either. |

I think these kids are fully embracing putting their own stamp on this team, and that's some of the best news we could all have hoped for. |

It is!
I do believe The Don has got their heartstrings playing the right chords.
Granato was / is the absolute best choice for this roster and growing into it longer term |

Adams said no captain this season.
All but guarantees the three A's will be: Okposo, Girgensons, Dahlin. Possible rotation of one of the A's, unlikely.

I EXPECT them to "fight" for last place.
I also expect them to play hard and fast, with heart and hustle.
I'm certainly not going to wait for the other shoe to drop, because that's no way to be a fan of any team, imo. They will get it right one of these times. - Powerslave
Didn’t mean to call you out, it was just a good post to use to connect all the previous Pegula culture changes.
The kids will play with heart, losing is an exhausting challenge that will leave a few battle scars. Let’s see if anyone loooooses the love for the game again. |

No worries. I get it. It's taken a toll on everyone. Why should anyone trust that this time will be different? I'm 50 years old. I've seen it all, save for a Stanley Cup victory, and yet I keep coming back for more. It'll turn around at some point. I believe that. |

I think a part of that is not having your leader that wants nothing to do with you, around you.
