I used to think that...until the election. Place is full of crazy Republican weirdo's (how many recounts did Maricopa county try ???), plus scorpions, rattlesnakes, and consistent 100 degree days. It's literally hell there.

Unless someone is trapped there, anybody who willingly lives in Arizona is insane. And that includes any of you $%@#!'s.

Anyway ... if Jack ends up there, he'll regret it, and not just because of that team.

It's the Yotes, what better way to open a new arena and rebrand the team, they have a ton a cap room this year and next and the picks to do it also Keller. The owner is committed and the GM has big plans .

Are you including last season, you know the one where girgs sacrificed his body for the team? Hardly seems fair.

Also sam was making 3+ times what gurgs was making prior to last year correct?

The 14 goal season great28 was making 1.6 million
Shouldnt sam have 42 goals? At 5.4 ? Zero intangibles?

So the 2 sides are at an impasse. Why can't the team or league step in and demand medical arbitration, rather than letting the whole poopshow continue indefinitely? seriously, the NHL, the Sabres, and Jack all need a resolution and medical arb is the way to get it so the league should be insisting on it.
- LandlordTom

I think we need to keep the Objective clear:
Sabres Objective : maxi size the trade return from Jack.
Eichel's Objective: Get healthy as possible, vast as possible while reducing the potential long-term implications on nis health.

A Medical Arbitration really does nothing since no one nor any organization can force him to have a surgery he doesn't want. So if the Med Arb landed on him having Fushion, nothing changes...Jack won't get i if his last 6 months are truly where he is at and will remain going forward.

The Sabres could then void his contract to get out of financial obligations...but that does nothing for their current Objective.

Rhino is wearing 13 now, Boss, so you can keep an eye on him out there. 😉

After day1 of training camp, from NHL/Panthers.com
"Sam's got good instincts," Quenneville said. "I think he's got a real good feel for the game. I think he's got real patience and play recognition and a shot and good hands. I think

- Ratsreign[that whole line] has that type of thing. They've got some speed. They're going to have the puck a lot."
No matter who lined up with Verhaeghe and Barkov last season, puck possession was a given. When they were deployed together at 5-on-5, the Panthers controlled 60.64% of shot attempts, 63.25% of scoring chances while outscoring the opposition 28-12, per NaturalStatTrick.com.
"It's a new situation for me," Reinhart said, "It's exciting."

You should be excited about Sam. He should fit in and contribute 60+ points.

Watch him closely though, and when you wonder how last season was so glorious and this season you're confused as to why florida isnt replicating last season.

It's him, he just doesn't give that 100% effort.

You should still make the playoffs, where you will not notice sam. ☝️

Almost like the Sabres tried to get him under a value contract and he said no?

You are just hammering them to hammer them at this point. We have no idea how those discussions went.

So we have no idea how the discussions went but you know the Sabres tried to go long term and he said no?

I’m hammering them because the result is bad for them.

And Dahlin himself is saying he was open to anything which is contradictory to the “oh the player didn’t want long term”

Interesting thoughts in regards to dahlin.

I think he steps up big time to demand the A from the defenseman.

Most teams will go 2 forwards and 1 defenseman.

Any thoughts on a rotation of the A among 4 or 5 guys?

Okposo A
Great28 A
Dahlin A

Is what I'm seeing

Sam at 75% is worth 3x what Girgs is worth at 100%, because if I remember this correctly, a GM of a hockey team gave that contract to him (See, Risto for the trade package he received over Sam). And btw, just so this doesn't flip to Risto again, I'm using the logic you gave on how GMs see things. GMs just gave Sam 3x the amount as Girgs, at 75% no less. That's how much they value Girgs production, or frankly, lack there of.

no one said he didn't want to be here long term. This is the pessimist's opinion.

I'm "open" to being paid 10,000 for a job, it doesn't mean I'll accept it without being provided the details.

You literally have no idea what those conversations were. Speaking matter of fact is again, ridiculous.

At a team friendly deal? Maybe

I wouldn't commit $9 million to Dahlin right now. Now if they offered $7.5 I would be fine with that but again we have no idea.

The season hasn't even started yet and you're already at peak frustration.

Believe me Boss, if I see play that backs up your stance on him, I’ll say so. Because that is unacceptable to me. One thing I’m confident in is that poop wouldn’t fly with his new teammates here, not to mention coach Q.
