McCaffrey, Horn, and now DJ Moore.

Are the Panthers gonna have any notable name finish the night tonight ?

Gotta love Thursday night football

Edit: Moore came back

I’m confused as to what the hold up is then.
- Pegullaville

how are you confused ? Eichel wants his surgery, Sabres don't. Like I have said for 3 months now, the cat and mouse game continues.

Eichel hasn’t filed for arbitration.

Sabres haven’t suspended Eichel for failure to comply.

They have been talking to teams for over half a year now with double digit teams checking in over a duration of time and nobody can seem to agree on value in a trade.

I can’t say I remember any other scenario like this happening. It’s a poop show

Adams proved his point yet again today by slapping Eichel in the face and taking the C from him, basically telling him, We will sit and wait until next July if we have to have fun waiting. People think Adams will lose, he won't lose.

How do you plan on pulling that off?
- Lunaion

You really think an athlete in his prime is gonna sit around and stare down a professional sports franchise?

He's gonna have surgery eventually. He will be the Sabres property for 5 more years if the Sabres choose.
The rules are very specific.

This drama is perfect for the franchise. Fits like a glove.

Look at the bad man eichel, look at him making girgs fall down from his basement in Boston. He's is the reason we're losing.

Ex captain is the fall guy. Watch him be the reason they didnt announce there 100% vaccinated rate. Until he went home . Shoe fits.

Only one that's not over it is you, what's laughable are your ridiculous trade offers you countlessly come up with, Stay on the Rags blog
- SABRES 89

My ridiculous trade offer is literally the only trade offer that has been reported by any media as actually having taken place

Only reason I come in here is because of how entertaining it is seeing you guys be so delusional about Eichel’s value. It’s like reading comments in a flat earth Facebook group

I just watched the Paul Hamilton take on WGRZ TV from earlier today and he thinks Jack is just going to go and have the surgery he wants and pay for it on his own. He said he has no inside info just what he thinks. That would shake things up and get things moving. The Sabres and whoever trades for him is free of any liability if it doesn't work out there is any future damage done. I say he should go for it.

If this drags on all season, it's a real possibility. He gets a 7.5m bonus next year and 2.5m salary. A suspension wouldn't hurt very much.

Then the Sabers have the ability to terminate Jacks contract.......but can't if they want something for him..... this could work!

And Seguin got traded for Loui Eriksson, and Thornton got traded for Marco Sturm, Wayne Primeau, and Brad Stuart.

If he has this surgery soon he will be dealt before then and will not be suspended on his new team.

He might be trying to get private insurance or a discount via the Dr and disc makers or whatever since whoever does it is going to be a celebrity and the type of disc and the company that makes them is going to be known so his agent might be trying to get some of the costs taken off before he has it done.

They aren't terminating his contract unless the surgery goes really bad and he can't move his neck which is not going to happen. They would look really bad if they did that anyway.

I don't think medical insurance is really an issue here. They have plans like most of us, in the US. CBA rights and team doctor's don't really have anything to do with that part.

He can’t get the surgery on his own ….. that would be ridiculously stupid

The NHL PA would not support that decision and he would get in major trouble from the NHL. The Sabres / league could sue him and it could get very messy

Yeah, both Eichel and the Sabres are going tk let it be. Eichel is going home to Boston to skate and lift and stay in shape.

Mean while the Sabres and league will carry on. No one will care about Eichel in a week or so

The problem there is after this season he has a ntc. So eichel has more control. But I agree suspend him without pay if it gets to that.
- IndianaSabresFan

The NTC is literally pointless. Don’t let that scare you.

If Eichel after July 1 says. Trade me to Boston only.

Then you say tough luck Eichel. Have fun staying a Buffalo Sabre for 4 more years.

He will eventually approve a trade to anywhere. If he truly wants to leave so badly.

What is major trouble with the NHL and how much messier can it get? He is in stagnation, not playing hockey, no end in sight has no desire for fusion and this has been going on for months.

If the league and Sabres sued him they would lose the PR fight in the eyes of many so that really may not be the best route to take. There are a lot of my body my choice a la carte people.

The NHL wants players like Jack Eichel to be playing and not dominating their news cycles because they can't have medical procedures that they want because they say so.

There's no way his normal medical insurance would cover a surgery for an injury he suffered on the job.
