Doubt it. He would be the canucks 7th sooner than he would be waived I think. The scorn and rioting over that draft pick would be too much for Benning to handle

They were going to turf virtanen regardless of the allegations. I don’t think they will hesitate if they no longer believe in him

That is a little extreme. They pay taxes also. Smoking kills do you ban them also?

It really sucks but you need to come to a more humane result. You can't turn people away to die.

- VANTEL

Smokers aren't taking up entire ICU units at the same time for days/weeks on end, preventing others who need it. People are literally being turned away to die because of no beds for them. I have no sympathy for anti-vaxxers.

Just another day in Canuckville.

Meh, yes and no. He just spent his last 1st rounder on fixing his cap mistakes, losing out on juolevi and where he was drafted wouldn't be a good look.

I think they do believe in him though. It shows in his current contract and it being a one way and not a two way contract

If he gets outplayed, then so be it.
Send him down to the minors and let him play in Abby.
I doubt he'd get claimed anyways.

But i still hope he makes it and there is some real competition for the bottom pairing.

In India? I haven’t heard of anyone being turned away in BC? Where did you read this?

Agreed. Sadly injuries may have ruined the kids chance. His skating isn’t up to par

I don't have numbers to back my statement up but I think smoking being one of the leading causes of death costs the medical system quite a chunk of money . That extra money could have been allocated elsewhere in the health system?

I am fully vaccinated and so is my family and I think what is happening sucks but the people choosing not to get the vax can not be turned away at the door and told sorry you don't deserve medical help that you have paid taxes for your whole life.

💯. I’ve been fully vaccinated since early May but that doesn’t mean I’m going to slam it down people’s throats. The vaccine bully’s are just as bad as the tinfoil hat dummies. Some people have legitimate reasons not to get it (most don’t )

Bennings agenda has to be win at all costs. Fans are going to scream anyways about one thing or another and the only thing that will change that is by having a top team.

I can't speak for BC but I know in Alberta there are people being turned away for anything that's not killing them right this second. Family member discovered he has tumors in his ears, was told he will have to wait to find out if they are cancerous/to get them removed because there is simply no space due to covid patients eating up all the resources.

Alberta should have done a better job getting their population vaccinated

Agree…I will spend the rest of my life calling them idiots but we live in a free society, choice is there whether you like others choices or not.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death around the world, I believe, but you can’t turn away fat people because they eat too much or they have poor diets. Regardless of your outlook on life, if you pay taxes and contribute to the system, you deserve medical care, whether we agree with your choices or not. That’s freedom. Mixed in with pure ignorance lol.

The vast majority of Canadians don’t want a two or three tiered medical system. So saying we should turn away people because of their choices isn’t right. I could see that happening in America where the medical system is a for-profit system, but not in Canada where we have universal healthcare.

I am not going to make excuses about the pick . It just seems to be a bad pick for that high. It is on Benning and his scouting and he has to own it. Not every pick works.

You can see some of the prospects he took this year and last over in Europe who seem to outplaying their spot they were selected. This kid Klimovich looks like a hell of a good pick and so does 7 th round pick Forsell who recently got bumped up in leagues. Persson looked very good today and good reports on Lockwood and Lockhart. I am sure Carol will update .

For sure he was a brutal pick. Just saying injuries didn’t really give him a chance. He looks like a bust so move on

Exactly . Don't keep him on the team just to save face. I will say Canucks have to do a better job on picking D .

For the record, my idea was to charge them, not turn them away.

I think we could get a 2nd or 3rd from a team willing to bet on his draft position.

Draft pedigree still matters today. Out of 31 teams, i bet one would think he will develop into a top 4 guy faster than that 2nd rounder they gave up. He had a good showing last season in the games he played.
