OK, seriously, the Leafs have gone too far. Or at least Bieber has gone to far.

I just got an email from MLSE - I have the priveledge of entering a draw to see if I can be one of the first to buy Drew gear.

Yeah, I log in, select the stuff I want (1 item in each category per person) and then I wait until the 24th to see if I have "won" the right to purchase it.

The prices are franking scandalous.

Socks: $20

Blue trucker hat: $68

White t-shirt: $98

Blue hoodie: $238

Blue sweatpants with Carlton on the side: $238

White crew sweater (looks like a 1930s Leafs jersey): $328

And here's the franking kicker:

16" Carlton plush doll: $78

Sheet with 8 stickers for kids: $18

Yeah, I know there are suckers who will buy it. Hell, I should get one of each, because I bet I could turn a profit re-selling them.

FFS.

I see no issue with this at all.

This happens anytime a celebrity releases some new shoe or clothing line.

I'd probably charge more - because if people are willing to pay it - why not?

Don't feel to privileged. I got the same email and I am not a season ticket holder, hell I haven't been to a game at the ACC in almost a decade.

I don't even know where they got my email really...

I have an electric leafs heated blanket with a few minor beer stains on it (difficult to wash)

This that’s worth what? About $500 now?

More signs of the late stages of Western capitalism just prior to collapse...when android archaeologists dig this up they'll either laugh or cry

One of the comments is great though...what in the cinnamon toast (frank)...adding that to my lexicon

- Zezel

I could not agree more.

What the frank are $238 sweatpants?

And here's the kicker: they know that suckers will buy this crap - they don't even give descriptions. You have no idea if the t-shirt is cotton or poly or cashmere or human skin.

I think people obsessing about Holl need to go take a look at most other teams 4th best d'men. The list won't make your knees curl ....Forbert in Boston ....Forsling in Florida ...Edmunson in Montreal ...Jensen in Washington ...Greene in NYI.

TB and a few teams have depth 1-4 but most teams get a little ? after the top 2 or 3 guys. If the Leafs could add another Bogosian type I'd like the Leafs D against most others.

- The Law

I get the desire for some grit / toughness on the back-end. I think - and I know it's a pretty risky decision in a make-or-break year for the Leafs' management team - they're going to give Dermott and Sandin a chance to prove themselves. I also don't really see a lot of teams sitting on someone they are waiting to move before the season starts or who would be available on waivers that would be better than Dermott. We do have some depth guys with NHL experience in the AHL (Dahlstrom, Biega) who could slot short-term as a #6 guy . . . ultimately with the young guys . . . if we never really give them the chance, they won't develop.

Kerfoot and Nylander played extremely well together in the post season, so, even tho it’s just an opinion, it would be nothing short of foolishness to not see how much better they are when JT is on the ice with them.

I think Kase at best will be one of the extra forwards who isn’t used all that often.

- Dozzer

I'm predicting that Kerfoot is traded before or at the trade deadline to create cap space to bring in a significant player.

Kase seems to be a responsible player who is fast, isn't afraid to shoot the puck (twice as often as Kerf), and has a skillset that is top 6 pedigree. Really, his only knock is an inability to stay healthy. This team needs people who aren't afraid to shoot and he actually has a pretty good shot.

Kerfoot had a nice set of games with Willie but it was a small sample set that I don't think we should get too excited about. He'll get his chances when Kase goes down with an inevitable injury.

Just doing what I do best; female dog about things that annoy me.

But serious, though. They've played half an inning only so far and the ump is this bad.

What the (frank) is Drew, is what I've been thinking about.

I’m sorry but Kerfoot has earned the first chance over the new guy with only 0.469PPG and tons of injury issues in his career where Kerfoot has a 0.489PPG (similar but higher) with very little injury issues

I believe Kerfoot gets the top chance because on top of small yet still better stats he’s got experience with the players and is not new to the team.

We shall see, my guess is Kerfoot and yours is Kase.

They still got the bases loaded with a guy batting over .300 not being able to drive in at least one run

Can’t just blame the ump

cause trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the very definition of being a Habs fan?

What’s trying the same thing?

Neither Kerfoot or Kase have been the regular second line wingers for the leafs

Kerfoot was bumped up after the JT injury in the post season and that line did well
