Not sure, but I think this could be his season.... - JohnScammo
The article had me cracking up. It felt word-for-word like so many articles written about him when he was here.
"So-and-so was quoted as saying that the perception that Josh has attitude issues is wrong and he's actually well-liked among his teammates and coaches"
"He's a good kid"
"Josh finally understands that he needs to do X and maybe curb doing Y a bit"
"He has NHL-level talent, he just needs to play more of a team game"

Yea, although the fact that he's waiver-eligible now isn't going to work in our favor. If he goes to the AHL and we decide and/or need to call him up, there's a good chance we lose him for nothing. But if he stays with the big club and doesn't play then it's going to be two consecutive seasons where he has played almost zero games. - eichiefs9
He’ll probs be in BP and traded at some point imho. |

On HF boards.. how the KHL could potentially pay Kaprisov $10 mill.
Reading further through the KHL legal documents, it does appear that teams can offer an unlimited bonus that doesn't count against the cap for:
- Reaching the final 4 in the KHL playoffs
- Finishing top 3 in the regular season in Goals, Points or +/-
So CSKA could offer Kaprizov a contract with the potential for $10m+ in earnings, but it's not a guarantee he would earn them. CSKA is historically one of the KHL's best teams, so a final 4 finish is very achievable (CSKA has done so in 5 of the 12 KHL playoffs, including a current 3 year streak). However the salary cap is a relatively new introduction to the KHL so will be interesting to see how that affects competitive balance over the upcoming seasons.
Kaprivoz finished with the top goals in 2018-19 and 2019-20, so that's certainly achievable. But once again not guaranteed, especially if he were to suffer any injury and miss games.

I know Johnston is pretty much done as far as getting any ice time this year but I would love to see just one game where the Isles dress Chara, Martin & Johnston for one night and they run wild

LOL. I could actually see it against the Rags. Reaves is a pretty tough customer, and it might take all 3 to wear him down. Or maybe the Caps if Wilson is misbehaving. |

There is another Islander poster on the main thread calling for the HOF for Tonelli. This thing has legs I tell you. They’re laying the groundwork for the heavy hitters. It won’t be long before Potvin, Trottier and Bossy are on the board banging the drum for John. Lol.
