he might surprise us, but the general consensus is he's ideally a 3C on a good team. and what prospects are you willing to part with?
- Pat1993

Well I wouldn’t say the Habs have a good team next year so he is a 2C, kiddings aside, I see him having a good year this season with maybe 50 points. If it’s someone like Ekholm coming back I will have Poehling and a 2nd round pick in there, but will need to sign Ekholm to a long term deal after

on the PP he won't, but for the rest... pretty close imo.

I dunno, he was good but he wasn't a beast out there in the playoffs either

well, he signed for 3.5. he's not Bobby Orr. but with Chiarot Petry and Emundson he'll do just fine imo.

you'll be surprised by Savard. much better player than people seems to think.

He may get similar number of points as Weber but will he provide the same type of leadership in the room? To be fair the leadership needs to be done by committee this season we have enough guys that have won the cup previously

yeah, he'll be fine but I guess my point is Weber could have a much bigger impact during a game than he can, which is why I'm saying it's a bit of a stretch.

I am not worried about the defensive side of things its the transition game up ice that I have my doubts about

of course, you cannot replace a Weber with only 1 guy. Habs have worse problems than Savard, they need a C much more than a top4 D imo.

that I agree. but we cannot say that Weber was that much of a PMD either. after Petry it's pretty thin.

I think our C will be ok without Dvorak as 2C I would have said otherwise

IF Poehling surprises us. IF Evans can stay healthy... maybe. these are 2 big ifs.

Yeah unless Romanov turns out to be the offensive dman like Markov as supposed to defensive dman like Emelin it is thin. Now not sure if Norlinder is ready for big league action this year I say not

I think Poehling will surprise us, I am not too worried about 4C as either Perreault or Paquette can step in

Bergevin and Timmins always said Romanov was a Emelin 2.0. not a Markov.
as for Norlinder, back to Finland imo.

The only other d that maybe able to play some offensive transition game maybe Wideman, we will see how much minutes he gets

I think he has more offense than Emelin but I don’t see him getting more than 25 points a season or max 30 points

they'll have Kulak Romanov and Wideman fighting for the last pairing. pretty sure they'll all play their fair share of games.

Not a big fan of having Kulak and Romanov on the same pairing don’t feel confident about either playing right side
